About us
YEFL-GHANA is a vibrant youth-focused, youth managed organization empowering youth economically, politically & socially to lead the desired change deemed fit for their societies. Youth Leading change is the ultimate goal, where we find ourselves in a stage where people are taking the initiative with a high sense of awareness and awakening; an action step that ignites the act and art of activism; that shifts the position of youth from an era of spectating to active participation.

𝑰𝒏𝒇𝒓𝒂𝒔𝒕𝒓𝒖𝒄𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒆 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝑰𝒏𝒄𝒍𝒖𝒔𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝑷𝒓𝒐𝒋𝒆𝒄𝒕: 𝑪𝒐𝒎𝒎𝒊𝒔𝒔𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒐𝒇 𝑩𝒐𝒓𝒆𝒉𝒐𝒍𝒆𝒔 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑲𝑽𝑰𝑷 As part of our #infrastructureforinclusion project, we are excited to commission 3 boreholes and 1 KVIP during this festive season in Tilli, Sapelliga and Kusanaba all in the Upper East Region. This marks the beginning of a new dawn to these communities who face issues of access to water and poor sanitation. "𝑇ℎ𝑖𝑠 𝑏𝑜𝑟𝑒ℎ𝑜𝑙𝑒 𝑤𝑖𝑙𝑙 ℎ𝑒𝑙𝑝 𝑢𝑠 𝑎𝑙𝑜𝑡 𝑒𝑠𝑝𝑒𝑐𝑖𝑎𝑙𝑙𝑦 𝑜𝑢𝑟 𝑤𝑜𝑚𝑒𝑛, 𝑎𝑠 𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑦 𝑠𝑢𝑓𝑓𝑒𝑟 𝑚𝑜𝑠𝑡 𝑤ℎ𝑒𝑛 𝑖𝑡 𝑐𝑜𝑚𝑒𝑠 𝑡𝑜 𝑤𝑎𝑡𝑒𝑟" the chief representative of Sapelliga commented. This milestone was successful with the immense support of the West Bawku District Chief Executive, Chief Engineer, Assemblymen of the respective communities, the Fulbe communities, chiefs and most importantly the U.S. Embassy Ghana for funding and also trusting YEFL with such a challenging yet impactful project. We are more excited to continue this impactful journey of community development and promoting #socialcohesion. We are committed to bring you inspiring stories from this communities and hopefully expanding our scope. Stay with us for more impactful initiatives. Happy New Year to all.🎉 See you all soon #YouthLeadingChange #Inclusion #Sanitation #accesstowater

𝒀𝑬𝑭𝑳 𝑮𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒂 𝑭𝒐𝒖𝒏𝒅𝒆𝒓 𝑽𝒊𝒔𝒊𝒕 Mr. Mahama Shani, founder of YEFL Ghana recently visited the team. The visit provided an opportunity for him to learn about recent achievements and key developments, while also engaging with staff members and their roles. During the tour, Mr. Shani expressed his admiration for the organization's remarkable growth, which began with a simple idea and has blossomed into a dynamic force for change. In a heartfelt interaction, Mr. Shani inspired the team with words of encouragement, acknowledging their hard work and dedication. “𝐼 𝑎𝑚 𝑝𝑟𝑜𝑢𝑑 𝑜𝑓 𝑦𝑜𝑢 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑝𝑟𝑜𝑢𝑑 𝑡𝑜 𝑏𝑒 𝑎𝑠𝑠𝑜𝑐𝑖𝑎𝑡𝑒𝑑 𝑤𝑖𝑡ℎ 𝑦𝑜𝑢,” he shared, leaving the staff deeply motivated. 𝑻𝒓𝒂𝒏𝒔𝒇𝒐𝒓𝒎𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑬𝒅𝒖𝒄𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝑮𝒆𝒏𝒅𝒆𝒓 𝑬𝒒𝒖𝒂𝒍𝒊𝒕𝒚 𝒊𝒏 𝑵𝒐𝒓𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒏 𝑮𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒂! YEFL Ghana, with support from Oxfam in Ghana under the DANIDA Strategic Partnership II Program, held a #GenderTransformativeEducation dialogue across Damongo, Walewale, and Tamale. The series which brought together education stakeholders and government representatives tackled critical issues like #safe and #inclusive school environment, gender responsive reforms in Teacher Education, Education budgeting, and the lack of inclusivity in education, especially for girls and Persons with Disabilities (PWDs). Key insights included the need for safeguarding structures, gender-neutral leadership roles, and diverse #TVET programs to attract both male and female students. Stakeholders also called for increasing resource allocation to TVET and basic education. They also emphasized the need for inclusive infrastructure, such as inclusive infrastructure for PWDs and greater community involvement to tackle barriers like poverty and cultural norms that hinder education. Success stories were also highlighted such as girls excelling in #STEM and community initiatives reducing student absenteeism proving that change is possible with collaboration and action. Together, we can create an equitable education system for all. Stay tuned for updates on this transformative journey! #GenderEquality #InclusiveEducation #EducationForAll Northern Regional Youth Network (NRYN_Ghana)

𝑪𝑳𝑬𝑨𝑹 𝑷𝒓𝒐𝒋𝒆𝒄𝒕 𝑻𝒆𝒂𝒎 𝑷𝒂𝒓𝒕𝒊𝒄𝒊𝒑𝒂𝒕𝒆𝒔 𝒊𝒏 𝑳𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑬𝒗𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝒊𝒏 𝑨𝒓𝒖𝒔𝒉𝒂, 𝑻𝒂𝒏𝒛𝒂𝒏𝒊𝒂!!! Last week, a team of four from the CLEAR Project consortium, comprising School for Life-Ghana (SfL), Ghana Developing Communities Association - GDCA, and YEFL, attended a week-long learning event in Arusha, Tanzania. This joint event brought together English-speaking OC2 grantees from both WCA and HESA regions to foster knowledge sharing, joint learning, and experience exchange. The event served as a platform for #EducationOutLoud(EOL) consortium members and organizations to identify and discuss best practices from their implementation approaches. It also facilitated deep discussions on establishing and strengthening #Social #Accountability Mechanisms in diverse educational contexts. Through presentations, group discussions, outdoor activities, and open conversations, participants explored innovative approaches to improving #educationsystems and promoting accountability. We are thrilled to announce that our team has returned home safe, sound, and poised to continue creating impactful changes in education. Leveraging the lessons learnt, we are more poised than ever to enhance educational standards and drive meaningful development. Our heartfelt appreciation goes to Global Partnership for Education and Oxfam International for organizing this incredible learning event. To our dedicated representatives, thank you for showcasing our work and commitment to the larger EOL team. Together, we continue to strive for a brighter educational future for the Northern Child! #YouthLeadingChange #Sfl30 #Educationforall
