We're excited to share some of the latest key updates on our #growth and #strategy: - Time Charter Extension: We are pleased to announce the Time Charter extension for our older containership M/V Aegean Express at a US$ 16,700/ day for a minimum of 10 months to a maximum of 12 months. - New Spin-off: We are also thrilled to announce the intent to spin-off the company's 3 oldest vessels - MV Aegean Express, MV Diamantis P & MV Joanna - into a seperate company, Euroholdings Ltd. Euroholdings has applied for listing on the NASDAQ Capital Market. Aristeidis Pittas, our Chairman and CEO, commented: “The spin-off of our three older vessels into a separate entity and the distribution of all shares to our common shareholders, the only shareholder class in our capital structure, enables us to maximize the value of the older vessels in our fleet and shareholder returns." This strategic move allows #Euroseas to focus on growth opportunities and fleet modernization efforts. Over the last couple of years, we have placed orders for 11 newbuilding vessels, seven of which have been delivered in 2023 and 2024, two are slated for delivery in early January 2025 and the remaining two in 2027. We are pleased to announce the extension of charter contracts for our two 2,500 teu feeder containerships, EM Corfu and Evridiki G, at highly profitable rates: 🔹 EM Corfu will be chartered for 18-20 months at $28,000/day 🔹 Evridiki G will be chartered for 14-16 months at $29,500/day These extensions reflect the continued demand for feeder vessels, as liner companies seek reliable capacity amid a tightening market. Through a day of volunteering, our colleagues, along with their families, provided on the ground help, to these beautiful animals. We are pleased to announce a new time charter contract for our 1,740 TEU feeder containership, EM Spetses, for a minimum period of 18 to a maximum period of 20 months at the option of the charterer, at a gross daily rate of $18,100. The charter for EM Spetses will commence in early August 2024, upon the completion of its current charter. The vessel has been fixed for a minimum period of 23 to a maximum period of 25 months at the option of the charterer, at a gross daily rate of $22,000. The acquisition was financed with a combination of own funds and a US$22.5 million loan provided by the National Bank of Fujairah. Similarly to our M/V Monica. We are pleased to announce the time charter contract for our newbuilding fuel efficient feeder containership, M/V Pepi Star for a minimum period of 23 to a maximum period of 25 months, at a gross daily rate of $24,250. Aristeidis Pittas Chairman & CEO of Euroseas commented: "...This rate represents a 10% increase compared to our fixture of its sister vessel, M/V Stephania K, at $22,000 just a week ago, a clear indication of the continuously strengthening rates of the containership charter market during the last months. The present charter is expected to contribute about $12.3 million of EBITDA for the minimum contracted period; it increases our remaining 2024 charter coverage to 91%.” The charter will commence upon delivery of the vessel from the shipyard expected to take place on or about July 19, 2024. M/V Pepi Star is the seventh newbuilding vessel in a series of nine, and the last of our three 1,800 TEU units.
