Commercial Operations of Gastrade’s Alexandroupolis LNG Terminal begins - A Milestone for Europe’s Energy Security and Development The transformation of Alexandroupolis into a new energy gateway for the entire Central and Southeast Europe begins today with the start of Commercial Operations of the Alexandroupolis LNG Terminal. The result of great collaborations, with a pioneering conception for its time, the Project contributes to energy security and to the diversification of sources and energy supply routes for Southeast and Central Europe, decisively upgrading the role and importance of Greece in the contemporary energy map of Europe, making it an energy gateway for more than nine countries. Gastrade is pleased to announce that the Commercial Operations Date of the LNG Alexandroupolis Terminal is confirmed for October 1st, 2024, following the successful completion of all commissioning tests. The imminent commencement of operations at the LNG Alexandroupolis Terminal marks the completion of a project with prominent European, National and local significance. The Project will enhance Greece's leadership role in energy and will contribute to the diversification of gas resources, to the energy security and the establishment of a liquid regional gas trading hub in Southeast and Central Europe. The Project will also support the expansion and will strengthen the perspective of the Vertical Corridor Initiative. WE ARE HIRING! - Accounting Officer Gastrade S.A.. is the first company to receive an Independent Natural Gas System License in Greece. Our scope is the development, operation, and management of modern natural gas systems in a safe, reliable manner, respecting the environment and human rights. We are currently seeking an Accounting Officer. Responsibilities: ·       Perform accurate accounting entries, maintain ledgers, reconcile accounts, and identify discrepancies. ·       Ensure compliance with Greek Tax Legislation, including VAT returns and other tax filings. ·       Support quarter-end and year-end close processes. ·       Actively participate in the preparation of the audit process. ·       Maintain Inventory records and Monitor Customs area operations. ·       Issue customers’ invoices monthly and ensure proper documentation. ·       Perform ad hoc duties as assigned. Qualifications and Experience: ·       Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field. ·       Proven 3+ years’ experience in a similar accounting role. ·       Advance knowledge of Greek GAAP, IFRS and relevant legislation. ·       An A-class accountant license is not a prerequisite but is considered a plus. ·       Good Knowledge of Customs Procedures. ·       Hands-on experience with ERP applications (preferably SoftOne ERP). ·       Proficiency in MS Office Suite, especially knowledge of Microsoft Excel. ·       Excellent command of both English and Greek languages. Skills: ·       Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail. ·       Ability to perform under pressure and deliver results. ·       Excellent communication and teamwork skills. ·       Effective time management and accuracy in meeting deadlines. Commissioning activities are ongoing at Gastrade S.A.'s LNG Alexandroupolis Terminal following the arrival of the commissioning cargo last Friday and the safe ship-to-ship operations which took place this past weekend. The arrival of the first #LNG cargo and the commencement of commissioning largely marks the completion of construction activities and brings us even closer to commercial operations of the first #FSRU project in Greece!
