Throwback to INSULEUR's recent activities where Joseph Borg, President of Insuleur and other representatives of the Network, George Assonitis, Danai K. and Irene Mikelis participated in September in an important consultation, invited by the Secretary General for Insular Policy of the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Insular Policy, Mr. Manolis Koutoulakis, as part of a study visit by a group of #OECD experts. #MEDRoutes 3rd TPM 🤝 The 3️⃣ rd Transnational Project Meeting of the MEDRoutes project took place on November 3rd in Paphos, Cyprus! Our dedicated partners are collaborating on advancing sustainable cultural tourism initiatives across the Mediterranean region. Here’s a look at what has been discussed: 𝐀𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐚 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬: 𝐂𝐢𝐫𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐫 𝐄𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐦𝐲 𝐢𝐧 𝐂𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐓𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐦: #DUNEA presented their work on creating a Joint Roadmap for Cultural Routes, guiding routes toward sustainability and low-impact tourism options. 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐛𝐨𝐧 𝐅𝐨𝐨𝐭𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐭 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭: Bulgarian Association for Transfer of Technology and Innovation - #BATTI provided insights into the environmental impact of our activities, using carbon footprint analysis to steer our project toward greener practices. 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐄𝐜𝐨-𝐈𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬: INSULEUR - The Network of Insular Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the EU discussed Strategic Stakeholder Engagement and their progress on Participatory Labs, which are engaging local voices to shape the eco-itineraries. It also gave further insights into the new “Green Label” to be developed under the Project including updates on branding and visual identity 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐦𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐒𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐬: #DUNEA and #UnioneRomagnaFaentina outlined plans for a Transnational Strategy for promoting the new eco-itineraries, helping position MED-Routes as a leader in #sustainabletourism practices.
