MESO Events is a non-profit organization, founded in 1998 with support from the French and Hellenic Ministries of Culture, and has become a significant catalyst for social impact, cultural entrepreneurship, and the growth of the Cultural and Creative Industries (CCI) across Greece and Europe. Originally established as the Greek coordination office for the development of the (European) Music Day under the European AISBL Fête Européenne de la Musique, MESO has since developed a robust national network, coordinating events in 55 cities and organizing over 600 live performances annually across 250 venues. Over the years, the team has developed innovative networks at national, regional and European level, to maximize the efficiency and the sustainable impact of our activities, with the aim to provide equal access and chances to all, to strengthen the music sector and to connect Greece and the Balkans with the wider music ecosystem. Since 2008, MESO has expanded its focus to promote cultural entrepreneurship and innovation, offering incubation and acceleration programs for artists and music professionals, grassroots education initiatives, and fostering cross-industry collaborations. Recognized by the Hellenic Ministry of Culture, MESO partners with premier European music networks and spearheads impactful projects, such as HEMI Music Hub, Music Tech Europe Academy, JUMP European Music Market Accelerator, and NIMPE Network for the development of music professionals. In addition to music, MESO has developed consultancy services and formed strategic partnerships across other CCI sectors - including Design, Contemporary Dance, Crafts, and Comics - to deepen cultural engagement, bolster entrepreneurial growth, and emphasize the role of CCIs in regional development and social cohesion. We believe in empowering artists, creative professionals, entrepreneurs and tech savants, ensuring they have access to opportunities that foster sustainable growth and social cohesion.
