Hong Yip was honored to participate in the Fair Trade Charity Football Cup 2024, ⚽ which took place on Saturday, 7 December at Go Park, Sai Sha in Sai Kung. The event was organized by the Fair Trade Hong Kong in which Hong Yip not only competed as one of the teams but also served as the venue sponsor. This tournament stands as a significant fixture in the Fair Trade Hong Kong’s annual calendar, bringing sports enthusiasts together and fostering awareness and collaboration for supporting the underprivileged in the communities. Dr. Aaron Chiang, Head of HR and Administration of Hong Yip joined among the distinguished guests at the event. He delivered a speech during the event’s opening ceremony, symbolizing the commencement of the football matches and highlighting the joint endeavors of Hong Yip and the Fair Trade Hong Kong in advancing fair trade principles and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) set by the United Nations. HAPPY@WORK 2024 Hong Yip is committed to promoting happiness at workplace and cultivating our business culture to enhance employee well-being. To achieve this goal, we have participated in “HAPPY@WORK 2024”, organized by Employers' Federation of Hong Kong, for 11 consecutive years. This annual event was successfully held at Hong Kong Disneyland on 9 November 2024. Over 300 participants from 11 member companies gathered together to experience newly emerged sports, including Zumba, Boxing, and team games like puzzle relay and guess & act. Through this process, we realized the crucial role Human Resources (HR) skills play in a company. Hong Yip's HR team truly embodies the spirit of human resources. They worked closely with us to identify the students' skills and interests, matched them with the perfect departments, and ensured a smooth onboarding for the 4-week experience. Throughout the journey, they provided continuous support to ensure our students had the best experience possible. Hong Yip supports Zubin Foundation to offer internship placement to ethnic minority students Hong Yip is committed to cultivating racial diversity and inclusion culture at workplace. Since the summer in 2022, we have participated in the EMerging Talent Internship Programme organized by The Zubin Foundation, with the support from the Equal Opportunities Commission. The initiative is to provide more than 50 internship placements in different industries for students with diverse backgrounds. This is our great honor to receive the Certificate of Appreciation for Employer in the Presentation Ceremony for the consecutive 3 years, acknowledging our commitment to offering internship opportunities to students of ethnic minority who are studying tertiary education in Hong Kong. Hong Yip has always been dedicated to nurturing young people. We had recently joined a two-month "Workplace Learning Program for Secondary School Students" (3S Project) organized by Noah's Ark and Hong Kong Youth Army Training Center for the fifth year . The program was sponsored by Sun Hung Kai Properties and Sun Fai (Construction Management) Co., Ltd. The program was tailor-made for students who had completed the Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (DSE). It offered students workplace internships, allowing them to understand their potential and interests early and establish their career plans. Hong Yip provided internship placements in residential clubhouses, campus facilities and serviced apartments for a total of 12 students to enable them to gain working experience in property management industry from June to July 2024. Hong Yip has always been focusing on the development of children and youth, actively fostering their physical and mental growth and creating a healthy and ideal living environment for them. To this end, GO Park Sports, located at Sai Sha and managed by Hong Yip, launched the "GO PARK Sports – School Explorer Program" this summer. Partnering with various sports associations and well-known sports organizations, free sports training courses were offered to over 1,000 primary and secondary school students at the new Sai Sha landmark – GO PARK, developed by Sun Hung Kai Properties, which integrates sports, entertainment, dining, and leisure experiences. The idea is to provide students the opportunity to learn about different emerging sports and help them discover their interests and potential. The "GO PARK Sports – School Explorer Program", lasted for two months, invited over 20 primary and secondary schools to participate during the summer break. The program aims to expose students to and experience a variety of diverse sports that are less commonly encountered in school, such as lacrosse, paddle tennis, pickleball, and golf, while identifying potential young athletes during these sports activities. Hong Yip believes that sports are crucial for the development of children and youth. Sports are not just physical activities, allowing students of different abilities to experience the joy of sports, but also teaching teamwork, personal growth, and the process of challenging oneself. Looking forward, Hong Yip will continue to uphold the philosophy of the sports academy, providing more enriching sports experiences for children, youth and the community.
