We're still reflecting on our event day, a fantastic culmination of everyone's hard work which enabled us to share ideas that change everything. We'll continue to share more so please stay connected! A big part of what made our event actually happen is our leadership team - these inspiring women normally start the planning very early in the year, even before any committee is formed. Each of them leads a specific area which allows us to develop teams that put in motion our plans. For the second year running we've had incredible support from Frey., a female-owned and Hong Kong founded brand who have provided their beautiful garments to our leadership team, and speakers, to help them feel their best and most confident in the run up to our event, and event day. I remember attending my first #TEDx conference 5 years ago and thinking to myself that I would never be ever in a position to share an ‘idea worth spreading’ to an audience of 1000 +.   Fast forward to the present day and looking back, it has been an amazing 5 months, all leading up to one moment on stage alongside Sophia Hotung for TEDxTinHau Women. Countless hours, many new friends, and a chance to share my experience and story on the theme of 'Invisible & Visible Disabilities'. Hopefully with a bit of humor and a new perspective, we were able to convey to the wider Hong Kong community how we can all be a bit more ‘CARE’-ing (you’ll need to watch the talk to get this reference - it will be posted on TEDx in early 2025. Small hint - Complete, Accommodate, Response, Empathy) and to never doubt another’s capabilities based on initial assumptions.   It is truly memorable experience to be able to speak alongside Debra Au, Camille Cheng, Katya Virshilas, Anita Lam, Professional Paul Wong, Angeline Yu, Vanessa Wong, and Mitche Choi.   Grateful to Felicity McRobb for being an amazing speaker coach and Kopal Manglik for being our wing woman throughout the process; TEDxTinHau Women Ex-Co (Daniella Lopez, Victoria Gilbert, Jen Flowers 杜敏, ++) for leading us through this adventure and putting our duo together.       A big THANK YOU to my The Women's Foundation tribe, JLL Hong Kong colleagues, and HK friends who came to this year’s TEDx event at the beautiful Xiqu Center.   Very cool to be able to call myself a TEDx Speaker.   Let’s see what 2025 brings. #TEDxTinHauWomen #redefiningdisability #TEDxspeaker
