  • A big shout out to Urban Group 富城集團 volunteers for their warmest support to our service and users.👏 #ywca #urbangroup #caringday2024 #seniors #loveandcare

Urban Group Caring Day 2024: Spreading Love & Gathering Warmth with the Seniors   With the theme of “富城傳愛意 耆樂滿心思” this year, our annual flagship CSR event – Caring Day, was successfully held on 14 December 2024 in partnership with the Hong Kong Young Women's Christian Association 香港基督教女青年會 (YWCA).   Gathered at the Community Centre in Mei Foo, 160 elderly / elderly volunteers from the North District, alongside over 100 of Urban’s volunteers attended the kick-off ceremony in the morning. Our volunteers even prepared 2 Tai Chi performances and an exercise session (活力操) to promote sports and healthy lifestyle.   After the ceremony, our volunteers guided elders to walk through the Lingnan Garden in Lai Chi Kok Park; various selfies and snapshots were taken with smiles! We then had lunch together and explored the cultural treasures of the Hong Kong Palace Museum to appreciate traditional culture and experience the artistic ambiance. As a souvenir, Urban prepared caring gift bags with daily necessity and snacks.   Since 2013, Urban has been actively engaging with various groups in need, offering them our love and support. At Urban, we are committed to making a positive impact in our community. This initiative aims to provide our elderly participants with a memorable outing.   We are immensely grateful to our partners at YWCA for their collaboration and to our volunteer team for their support in making this meaningful event possible. Together, we celebrated community spirit, showed our love and care, and created lasting memories! #UrbanGroup #UrbanGroupHK #UrbanPropertyManagementLimited #UrbanCaresOurCommunity #CSR #UGCaringDay2024 #Love #HKYWCA #YWCA

The survey suggests that giving a "false compromise" as a tool of resolving conflicts, actually leads to repeated disputes and deteriorates parent-child relationships. • 30th Anniversary of the Ellen Li District Elderly Community Centre Since 1994, the Ellen Li District Elderly Community Centre has been serving the elderly population in the Northern District. This year, we celebrated the 30th anniversary of the Centre's establishment with a grand carnival on 18th August. We were honored to have Mr. Chris SUN, JP, the Secretary for Labour and Welfare, and Ms. LAU Yim, Alice, JP, the Permanent Secretary for Labour and Welfare, attend the celebratory event. One of the highlights of the carnival was an exhibition booth that featured the personal experiences and cherished memories of our elderly friends at the Centre. The photo and text displays provided a heartwarming glimpse into the lives of these valued members of our community. As we look towards the future, we wish the Ellen Li District Elderly Community Centre continued success in its mission to serve and enrich the lives of the elderly in the Northern District. #ywca #hkywca #CommunityService #Elderly #30thAnniversary
