This festive season, The Peninsula Tokyo introduces the "Toy Hospital," where children can bring their cherished, worn-out toys for loving repairs by our skilled toy doctors. With a touch of holiday magic, these beloved items are restored to delight their young owners once again. This heartwarming initiative is part of our CRS and sustainability efforts. Additionally, we donate to the Japan Toy Hospital Association as part of our festive charity program, enhancing the holiday spirit and offering families a special bonding experience.

We are proud to have had eleven teams from HSH participate in Oxfam Trailwalker’s 100km race across Hong Kong’s spectacular mountains. Teams included representatives from The Peninsula hotels in Hong Kong, Beijing, Shanghai, Tokyo, Bangkok, Manila, The Repulse Bay, and two from Head Office, along with two from The Hong Kong Club. Despite the harsh weather, ten teams completed the course, with The Peninsula Beijing and a Head Office team finishing in 30 hours and 8 minutes. They chose to cross the finish line together, showcasing great sportsmanship. Congratulations to all for raising funds to alleviate poverty!

Announcing Vincent Prioult’s new role as Hotel Manager of The Peninsula Bangkok. Since joining us in 2012, Vincent has excelled in key positions at The Peninsula Tokyo, Chicago, and Shanghai, and most recently as Vice President, Rooms Operations and Quality at Head Office. His leadership has been pivotal in the openings of The Peninsula Istanbul and London. Congratulations, Vincent, and best wishes for continued success in Bangkok!

On 31 October 2024, we wished a “Happy Retirement” to our CEO Clement Kwok after 23 years of service to the company. Colleagues from our Hong Kong operations gathered at the Peak Tower Sky Terrace 428 for cocktails and photograph-taking with Mr Kwok. This memorable event was followed by a lively Peak Tram journey back to Central, where we waved him off in a waiting Rolls-Royce, after racing to the “Finishing Line - Happy Retirement” ribbon! Happy Retirement Mr Kwok and thank you for everything!
