Yesterday, Chi-man Kwan, our Group CEO, had the honour of speaking at this year’s #AbuDhabiFinanceWeek (#ADFW). During the inaugural UAE-China Investment Forum, a special edition launched to celebrate 40 years of bilateral relations between the #UAE and #China, Chi-man was featured in a fireside chat with Aileen Chuang, Senior Reporter at South China Morning Post SCMP, which delved into the rapid evolution of the Chinese family office sector, highlighting its growth and what it means for the region. Chi-man also joined a dynamic panel discussion on #CoInvesting alongside esteemed panelists: Ekta Tolani, KBW Ventures; Hans-Peter BORGH, Banque Internationale à Luxembourg (BIL) (Suisse) SA; and Jaspreet Randhawa, Burkhan World Investments Ltd. The session was moderated by Aisha Al Mansoori, The Emirates Family Office Association, and was part of the International Family Office Congress special event. It was truly a meeting of minds as "South/East Asia meets the Middle East" — as the interconnectedness of global wealth management communities continues to grow for mutual trade and prosperity. Here are some key takeaways from the sessions: 💡 The rising influence of Chinese family offices on global markets and their increasing focus on cross-border opportunities. 💡 The power of co-investing to foster trust, share expertise, and achieve greater impact in a fragmented investment landscape. 💡 How multi-family offices play a pivotal role in managing the complexities of multi-family dynamics. 💡 Bridging cultural and strategic perspectives between Asia and the Middle East to unlock new avenues for collaboration. Delving into the Middle East’s vibrant and fast-expanding markets has become a key priority, and we look forward to deepening these cross-regional connections and continuing the conversation on redefining legacies globally. Our heartfelt thanks to ADGM for organising such an exceptional event, bringing together industry leaders to shape the future of finance. #ADFW2024 #FamilyOffice #CoInvesting #GlobalFinance #WealthManagement Chi-man Kwan | William Chow | Kendrick Lee | Terence Chow| Ray Tam | Zann Kwan, 关旨斌, CFA |

What does luxury mean in the family office space? How are the next generation reshaping luxury investments to align with their values and aspirations? These questions took centre stage at the Leaders of Luxury Summit 2024, where our Group CEO Chi-man Kwan, moderated the “Future Opportunities for Luxury Brands and Family Offices” panel. Together with esteemed speakers Angel Chia, Executive Director, Hong Kong Academy for Wealth Legacy and James Root, Partner, Bain Future, Bain & Company, the panel explored the evolving definition of luxury for family offices and how next-gen family members are influencing this space. The discussion reminded us that luxury, like legacy, is constantly evolving—shaped by aspirations, innovation, and each family’s unique vision of the future. A special thanks to the speakers and organisers at Robb Report for creating a platform to connect ideas and industries as we continue to guide families across generations. --- #RFO #FamilyOffice #NextGenWealth #LuxuryInvestment Chi-man Kwan | William Chow | Kendrick Lee | Terence Chow | Ray Tam | Zann Kwan, 关旨斌, CFA |

The fast-growing and maturing family office landscape in APAC is reshaping the global landscape for personalized and professional wealth management. Earlier this year, Raffles Family Office and Deloitte Private jointly launched The Family Office Insights Series—Asia Pacific Edition, delving into the region’s key trends in family office risk management, investments, and succession planning. At the Raffles Family Office 2024 Annual Forum: Legacy. Redefined, our Group Chief Operating Officer, Mr Terence Chow, was joined by Dr. Rebecca Gooch, Global Head of Insights, Deloitte Private, to evaluate the findings and discuss the future of APAC family offices beyond growth and returns. Dr. Rebecca Gooch shared that APAC is leading the growth of the global family office landscape, with the number of family offices in the region already surpassing that in Europe, and expected to grow by 40% by 2030, from 2,300 today to 3,200. However, challenges remain especially when it comes to succession planning. Terence Chow emphasized the need for transparent and heartfelt conversations to devise a proper succession plan. “With the Great Wealth Transfer well underway, Asian families must act now to enhance wealth stewardship and help the next generation carry the family legacy forward,” he said. A great thank you to Mr Terence Chow and Dr. Rebecca Gooch for the insights and analysis. We look forward to continuing our collaboration with Deloitte Private and sharing more exclusive insights on the family office landscape in APAC.
