Sometimes, the journey is about the horizon we choose to chase and the waves we decide to ride. Being an overseas professional from #Pakistan, my time in #Australia has taught me to celebrate the unknown and find beauty in every challenge. This moment on the ferry in 𝗙𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗹𝗲, reminded me of the constant motion of life and business. Just like the ocean, our professional paths can be vast and unpredictable, but it's our resilience and perspective that define our journey. 𝗙𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗹𝗲, a vibrant port city in 𝗪𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻 𝗔𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗮, is rich in history and culture. Here are some fascinating facts about 𝗙𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗹𝗲: 📜 𝗛𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲: Fremantle is home to the Fremantle Prison, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that operated for over 𝟭𝟯𝟬 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀. 🎨 𝗖𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗛𝘂𝗯: The city is known for its thriving arts scene, with numerous galleries, live music venues, and the annual Fremantle Arts Festival. 🌐 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗲: The Western Australian Maritime Museum in Fremantle showcases Australia’s maritime history, including the famous America’s Cup yacht, Australia II. 🍽️ 𝗖𝘂𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗗𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀: Fremantle boasts an array of fantastic restaurants and cafes, offering everything from fresh seafood to diverse international cuisines. 🏖️𝗕𝗲𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗕𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝘀: The beaches in and around Fremantle, such as South Beach, are perfect for a relaxing day by the ocean. I've realized that stepping out of our comfort zones and exploring new markets is crucial. It’s about connecting with new people, learning from diverse perspectives, and growing both personally and professionally. To everyone striving to make a mark in the eCommerce world or any industry, remember: it's not just about where you end up, but how you navigate the journey. Let's continue to explore, innovate, and inspire! #JourneyOfGrowth #ProfessionalDevelopment #eCommerce #Leadership #GlobalExpansion #Fremantle #WesternAustralia

Auckland feels immense, But we're actually tiny as hell. In the "massive" City of Sails, Everyone knows everyone, Which makes it a fantastic place for business. However, our market is a bit like our rugby obsession: It seems huge from within, but at an international scale, It's just a sapling in a vast forest. But don't let the global market overwhelm you! While it’s beneficial to focus on New Zealand interests, Maintaining a global perspective can better prepare you For the shifts that happen in markets far away. Through a more global approach, You’ll be ready for the waves that reach our shores When international tides change.

Today Macau hosted the 43rd edition of the Macau Marathon. Like many major events, roads were closed, people rerouted and the city buzzing with people. We headed out for lunch and what would normally take me 5-10 minutes took me 40 minutes. We we diverted, blocked and basically had to circle the area to get to our destination. Living in a small country, traffic is not normally a problem and something I am not used to anymore. But I understood, the race was over, people going home and cleaning underway. What surprised me was the honking, the impatience, the aggressive driving and intolerance was unbelievable. We want the benefits of a event we have to become an event city. If we want to be a destination that attracts “mega” events we are going to have to change the way we are. Even with the best planning and logistics you will have congestion and a bit of inconvenience but you have to consider the big picture: 🇲🇴The economic impact 🇲🇴The revenue generated 🇲🇴The job creation 🇲🇴The tourism 🇲🇴The induced tourism I attended a talk on Friday last week and in a presentation by Darren Burden and he mentioned that Hong Kong 🇭🇰 will attract over 800 000 visitors attending "Mega Events” in the first half of 2025. You have #Rugby7’s #ColdPlay and many more. The region is ramping up. We have to do so much more to be competitive not just as a destination but as a citizens of a "Events City” 👏Congratulations to all those that completed the Macau Marathon today. Great achievement. #beyondevents #megaevents #HongKong #Macau #GBA #eventmindsets #goingbig

When the wind howls and the sea gets rough the best windsurfers push themselves against the elements, test their limits and seek excellence. It’s the same story in the hills, on bikes or on foot; athletes embrace challenges and grow through them. Hong Kong has taken strides toward creating space for these kinds of outdoor adventures yet we still have a way to go. The recent closure of beaches, for example, highlights a mindset that will hold us back. From limited access to Country Park roads, that are often paved and ideal for cycling to our seas we have an environment that is ideal for sport; there is room for improvement in access. I know emergency services may occasionally be needed if people push themselves too far but learning, testing our limits, sharing our roads and paths or coastlines all means growing as part of the human experience. Instead of limiting access, Hong Kong can foster a culture where more people feel encouraged to take to the waves, to hike the mountains, camp, bicycle and explore our natural world. Banning or limiting activities that are challenging won’t foster growth; adventure tourism and exploring our amazing coastlines and countryside should be a major industry for Hong Kong by now. Deploying police officers to prevent windsurfers, as reported in the SCMP also seems counterintuitive especially if Hong Kong wants to build Olympic success. After all our first Olympic medallist, Lee Lai Shan, didn’t have her beach shut down, she was able to explore her potential to win gold and reportedly said “Hong Kong athletes are not rubbish!”. If in 2024 an ambitious young athlete faces some type of police operation designed to try and stop (or arrest) them whilst they perfect their skills at sea or on land in their quest for sporting glory, something needs to change. #SportsCulture #HongKong #ChallengeYourself #PushYourLimits #OlympicDreams #HKWindsurfing #GrowthMindset #SportingExcellence
