Wherever I am in my professional world, someone shares how my father helped or inspired them, or they had come (often after some uncertainty) to enjoy his sense of fun and pricking of pomposity. He authored and shaped much of the modern architecture for expert evidence, ADR, and professional standards He cared passionately But it was desire to see people as individuals, rather than rank or position, and to help them if he possibly could, which was his essence. The Academy will continue to flourish with my sister Nicola Cohen and council at its helm. Nicola is remarkable in her own right
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Michael Cohen QDR HonFAE, The Academy's Chairman Emeritus. Michael passed peacefully on Tuesday. As one of the founding members of The Academy of Experts his sharp intellect and drive in the pursuit of excellence will be greatly missed. Our thoughts are with Michael’s family members at this sad time.

The event "Hong Kong and Riyadh: Legal and Dispute Resolution Services for Businesses along the Belt and Road" organised by HKIAC at the inaugural Riyadh International Disputes Week 2024 was a great success! They shared valuable insights about Hong Kong’s legal system, business regime, and latest developments in arbitration and mediation services to support businesses exploring opportunities along the Belt & Road.
