Our committed volunteers supported Foodlink Foundation last week, uniting passionate associates and residents from our Rosewood Residences! Together, we crafted over 200 nutritious energy bars for underprivileged families in Hong Kong, while Foodlink provided invaluable insights into the pressing issues of food waste and poverty in our city, allowing our volunteers to reflect on how they can further support these important causes. We are delighted to contribute to meaningful change and enhance the wellbeing of our community. Rosewood Hong Kong is delighted to have Yvonne Wai, Director of Talent Development, and Sandro Brusco, Assistant Director of Food & Beverage, representing the hotel as guest lecturers today at VTC Pokfulam Campus. They not only enriched a group of students in Higher Diploma Year 2, majoring in Classic Western Cuisine but also nurtured young talent by encouraging students to discover their purpose and passion. During the session, they introduced the Rosewood brand and explored our guiding philosophy of Relationship Hospitality to create an extraordinary guest experience. The interactive presentation engaged students and sparked thought-provoking discussions through role-plays and group interactions. The session had a lasting impact by inspiring students about the dynamic culinary landscape. They were motivated to see chefs no longer hidden in the background but recognized for enhancing the F&B dining experience. It proved to be a truly enriching experience for everyone involved, prompting students to reconsider their future career trajectories. This year, we had the largest participation with 9 teams from the Rosewood Hotel Group participated in the MoonTrekker event! The night was ablaze with adventure and camaraderie as our team navigated the rugged terrain of Lantau Island, starting from Mui Wo and concluding at Pui O beach.   Hand in hand with our supporting team, we extended a touch of luxury and comfort by serving energy drinks, heartwarming sweet soup, and a tantalizing delight from our Michelin-starred restaurant Chaat - the indulgent chicken wrap. Our participants were fueled up and ready to take on the most challenging part of the course to Lantau Peak.   Witnessing their unwavering spirit as they overcame obstacles and reached the summit of Lantau Peak, all while basking in the glow of the rising sun, was truly inspiring. #RosewoodHongKong #RosewoodHotelGroup #AssociateWellbeing #MoonTrekker2024
