On top of highlighting the sneaker’s leather exterior in off-white, gold and two blue hues, a complete reveal of the thematic sockliner, hang tag and shoe box has been included as well. Release remains set to take place on July 6 via Nike SNKRS and select retailers at a starting price of $180 USD in women’s sizing. For more info about the sneaker, be sure to review our initial breakdowns below.

Update: First spotted last month, a North Carolina-themed take on the Air Jordan 1 High OG is on the way. Dubbed the “First in Flight” colorway, it pays homage to both Michael Jordan’s history with the state and the incredible achievement of the Wright brothers’ first flight. Now, a complete on-foot breakdown of the pair highlights the upcoming drop as it remains anticipated to hit shelves starting on July 6 at a price of $180 USD in women’s sizing.

Original Story: The state of North Carolina is one known for flight, as it famously hosted the Wright brothers’ first successful flight on December 17, 1903 in the small town of Kitty Hawk. Though it is also tied to another high-flying icon — Michael Jordan. Mr. Jumpman himself grew up in North Carolina and went on to attend the University of North Carolina (UNC), a chapter in his life that Jordan Brand often pays homage to. Now, the latest celebration of Jordan’s history is the newly-unveiled Air Jordan 1 High OG “First in Flight.”

Sporting UNC’s iconic white and blue, the pair also features hits of navy and yellow. A textured leather appears at the white base while the aforementioned UNC blue hits the Swooshes, mudguard, eyestays and the base of the collar. Elsewhere, navy appears at the collar overlay and heel counter while a golden yellow enlivens the collar’s Wings logo. Its navy tongue tag rounds things out by featuring special “First in Flight” text that calls out the theme.

At the time of writing, Jordan Brand has not shared any details pertaining to this “First in Flight” iteration of the Air Jordan 1 High OG. Stay tuned for updates as we currently expect it to land on shelves starting on July 6 via Nike SNKRS and select retailers at a price of $180 USD in women’s sizing.
