For its third collection in partnership with New Balance, District Vision has taken an elevated and sleek approach to the race shoe, along with a capsule of comfortable performance wear staples.

Since putting out their debut sneaker, the two brands have been continuously tweaking and improving their approach to a road runner, the latest of which arrives in the form of the FuelCell SC Elite v4, pulled from New Balance rotation and redesigned in-house by the District Vision team in Los Angeles. The $265 USD Elite v4 sees a blocky sole paired with a slimmer carbon plate – a New Balance takeaway – for a durable but cushioned build. The upper of the shoe is entirely mesh, allowing for breathability and movement, and features a sock liner on the interior.

In typical District Vision fashion, the race shoe is sophisticated. Branding is minimal: District Vision is cleanly printed in white font near the heel and the New Balance logo is all but hidden within the monochromatic color palette. The sneaker comes in a solid black and a light gray.

Primary colors make up the majority of the apparel collection, which features gold medal sprinter Sydney McLaughlin and British soccer player Eberechi Eze. Driving the collection is District Vision’s impetus to bring performance-minded capabilities to fashion-forward garments – in other words, performance wear that looks cool and even toes the line of streetwear in terms of aesthetics.

A classic vintage-style rugby shirt is constructed out of moisture-wicking fabric, while an anorak is completely water-resistant, making for the perfect pre-race warm-up. There’s also a hooded wind jacket made of a waterproof single-layer shell.

Lightweight, airy singlets and matching nylon split shorts come in a deep blue and bright yellow. Rounding out the lineup are half-tights, a short-sleeve and track pants with corded, cinchable pant legs.
