As the title sponsor of the Hypegolf Invitational, Johnnie Walker’s adage — Keep Walking — took on a new meaning as players of all levels took to Los Angeles’ Huntington Club to refine their skill sets and reinterpret the country club format in an inclusive and contemporary setting. The whiskey maker’s branded bar activations at the front and back nine brought attendees a memorable tasting experience during a sun-soaked 9-hole tournament.

The Johnnie Walker hole exclusively featured a caddie service for players looking for an elevated gameplay experience while navigating the grounds. As players drove from the tee box to the fairway, caddies were on standby to assist with locating lost balls, cleaning and prepping hardware at the tee and transporting equipment for players throughout the course.

Celebrating a new generation of players prioritizing their on-course fashion just as much as their swings, Johnnie Walker caught up with style savants walking the course to ask about notable brands making headway in golf and the ins and outs of looking effortlessly cool at the swing. Ethan Cutkosky, Hailey Ostrom, Ross Butler, Timothy Granaderos, Nikki Blades, Melvin Gordon and Tessa Brooks were dressed to the nines, disrupting traditional country club aesthetics with an edgy, modern air. Enviable highlights of the day included classic Caddyshack-inspired golf styles — think polos, sleeveless dresses, skorts and khaki shorts — and attendees interpreting fashion’s sport-meets-street obsession to a T. Technical labels like J. Lindeberg, Barnaby’s, TaylorMade and Nike were in rotation along with workwear brand Carhartt and streetwear brand Pleasures.

Johnnie Walker’s main bar presented an array of signature whiskey cocktails, such as the boozy Johnnie Palmer, the Blue in One and the KEEP WALKING 18. Crowd favorite Devereux’s apparel pop-up in tandem with Johnnie Walker’s outdoor plaza showcased the first installment of the Johnnie Walker x Devereux collection, including assorted headwear, branded T-shirts and on-course accessories celebrating Johnnie Walker’s heritage footprint in golf and scotch — a classic pairing made for summer. After the tournament, guests enjoyed local So-Cal bites and cocktails at the outdoor plaza before gathering to celebrate the event’s concluding awards ceremony.

With future apparel drops on the horizon, Johnnie Walker maintains a steady stride alongside golf’s ever-growing community. See the event’s best-dressed players in the video above. Read more about Johnnie Walker’s most recent golf activations here.
