Disney has announced that the premiere of FX’s The Bear season three has set a new record on Hulu.
According to Variety, the show’s newest season garnered 5.4 million views in its first four days to become the most-watched season premiere for a scripted series on Hulu, and overall (including unscripted shows) the streamer’s third-biggest season premiere of all time. The total views include viewership on Hulu, Hulu on Disney+ in the United States and on Disney+ in international territories where the series was already available. Disney further noted that season three received 24% more views in comparison to the season two premiere, marking a continuous growth for the show.
The Bear season three sees the return of Jeremy Allen White, Ayo Edebiri (who directs an episode this season), Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Abby Elliott, Lionel Boyce, Liza Colón-Zayas, Matty Matheson, Oliver Platt and Molly Gordon. It focuses on the crew of The Bear following a chaotic opening night and their attempts to survive in the cut-throat world of the restaurant business.
