Van Aroma is thrilled to announce a major leap forward in our sustainability journey: the installation of 575 kWp of solar power capacity across our Bogor and Kolaka facilities! This isn't just about adding solar panels; it's about embracing a smarter, greener future. We've harnessed the power of mature, cost-effective solar technology to fuel our daytime operations entirely from the sun. Think 100% self-sufficiency from sunrise to sunset, generating an estimated ~748 MWh of clean energy annually! What makes our solar project shine? * In-house Expertise: We designed and implemented the entire project ourselves, showcasing the accessibility of this technology. A special shoutout to our the Van Aroma engineering team for their dedication and hard work in making this a reality! * Bi-facial Panels: Maximizing efficiency by capturing sunlight from all angles. * AI-Powered Monitoring: We're not just generating green energy; we're using AI to optimize consumption across our entire operation, uncovering hidden inefficiencies. * Self-Funded & Smart: This bankable investment, fully funded by our earnings, is a testament to the financial viability of solar. With a projected ROI of just 3-4 years, it's a win for the planet and our bottom line! Our next phase?...... Eliminating nighttime grid dependency by feeding excess solar power back into the grid during the day. And when storage technology catches up, we'll be ready to take it to the next level. We estimate this project will reduce our CO2 emissions by approximately 636 metric tons of CO2 annually. At Van Aroma, we believe going green is more than a trend; it's a responsibility. It’s been more than a month since the IFEAT - The International Federation of Essential Oils and Aroma Trades Bangkok conference and exhibition ended, and while our post is a bit delayed, this extra time has only deepened our appreciation for this annual event. Each subsequent IFEAT gathering reaffirms just how crucial it is for our Essential Oil and Aroma Ingredient community. This year felt especially meaningful due to the proximity to our Indonesian home base: we were able to host several visitors at our Bogor and Kolaka facilities beforehand, showcasing our dedication to farmers, distillers, and the entire supply chain. The conference and exhibition in Bangkok were truly spectacular. We unveiled new, innovative products and botanicals at our booth—drawing on fresh ideas from our Jakarta HQ and even tapping into AI to achieve a world-class design for our showcase. This year also marked our first IFEAT with a fully global Van Aroma team—everyone from leadership and technical experts to sales representatives, including our team members from the US and Europe. We’re grateful for every conversation and connection made with peers from across the industry. Looking back on 2024, IFEAT Bangkok undoubtedly stands out as a highlight, and we can’t wait to see what next year’s conference in Sweden has in store. I had the chance to attend a Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) training session today, facilitated by Ms. Nurul Hanifah, who oversees Quality Assurance at PT Van Aroma. The session offered valuable perspectives on the critical role of maintaining high-quality standards at every stage of production, from ensuring hygiene to managing risks and preventing contamination. This knowledge is not only crucial for delivering top-quality products but also for reinforcing a strong foundation for long-term business success in a competitive industry. A big thank you to Ms. Nurul Hanifah for sharing such insightful knowledge.
