Today marks a significant milestone for European innovation as we officially launched the European Innovation Council (EIC) Trusted Investors Network. This initiative brings together Europe’s most prominent deep-tech investors with the goal of scaling up groundbreaking startups and fostering strategic co-investments with the EIC Fund, part of Horizon Europe. By creating this trusted network, we are: 1️⃣ Facilitating co-investment opportunities to fuel the growth of Europe’s next generation of deep-tech champions. 2️⃣ Offering a platform for investors to collaborate, share insight and help drive Europe’s innovation agenda forward. 3️⃣ Building stronger investment communities around critical technologies. CroiValve has a focused team who strive to find a better way to help patients suffering from tricuspid regurgitation. I’m honoured to announce three new additions to CroiValve’s senior leadership team: Stella Kim as VP of Strategic Marketing, Carol Morris as Director of Quality and Shauna Clarke as CFO. We’re already seeing their valuable impact in delivering on our mission, based on the wealth of experience they bring to CroiValve. I look forward to working with them to accelerate this mission. It would be remiss of me not to mention that CroiValve now has a senior leadership team of 5 women and 2 men. This is unfortunately still relatively uncommon, particularly for a deep tech startup. Therefore, I’m pleased CroiValve can be an example that this should be more common. We set out to hire the best candidates, rather than any specific gender objective, and we demonstrate that gender balance is easy with that approach in mind. This expansion of the leadership team has happened in conjunction with the broader CroiValve team, where we now have 10 different nationalities represented. This team is the single biggest factor in achieving our goals and overcoming any obstacles along the way and I appreciate their daily commitment to our mission.
