Interested in immersive technologies, storytelling and social justice? Tomorrow we have a free workshop with the inspiring Karen Palmer, the Storyteller from the Future, an award winning XR creator and futurist who explores the societal implications of A.I and technology and impact of inequality. She does this by enabling participants to experience the future today through her immersive experiences, which watch you back using artificial intelligence and facial recognition technologies. This dynamic session offers participants the chance to engage with Karen’s groundbreaking methodologies, which fuse storytelling, futurism, and worldbuilding to explore the intersection of creativity, technology, and social impact. Expect an interactive, collaborative environment designed to help creatives unlock their agency, confront societal challenges, and imagine bold, transformative futures. Great event taking place this evening with the powerhouse that is Liz Rosenthal 💙
This Wednesday, 13th Nov, we are delighted to co-present an evening event focused on Games and Immersive with IMIRT - The Irish Game Makers Association at Irish Design Week at the Royal Irish Academy of Music. The evening begins with a conversation, guided by a card game of questions, between Unreal specialist and 3d artist Cordula Hansen PhD and Oisín Lennon from Danu Sports who work on wearables for gait analysis and atrophy for astronauts. Followed by a conversation with Liz Rosenthal, curator of Venice Immersive, Colum Slevin ex-Oculus Story Studio, now at EA games and Marcel Twohig from Logitech, moderated by our own Camille Donegan The evening promises to be a progressive look at where Experience Design for Games and Immersive is now and where it is going. It also offers a great opportunity for networking and meeting these leading industry figures. Tickets are only 5 euros: https://lnkd.in/efTFMs-g We hope to see you there!
