If you’re an SMS Aggregator or a Mobile Service Provider handling bulk SMS messages on behalf of businesses or organisations, you need to register the SMS Sender IDs in use by those organisations with ComReg before 20 December 2024. In time, text messages with unregistered SMS Sender IDs will be blocked. Protect your customers, be scam safe, and avoid disruption to your business by registering existing SMS Sender IDs now. If you don’t register existing SMS Sender IDs now, your business customers will need to do this in 2025 to ensure their messages with SMS Sender IDs are not blocked. SMS Aggregators and MSPs can now participate in ComReg’s SMS Sender ID Registry which aims to protect SMS communications and prevent fraudsters from using spoofed SMS Sender IDs to conduct text scams. The Registry aims to future-proof SMS as a reliable and trustworthy communications channel for businesses and organisations in Ireland. 🔔 For more information, see https://bit.ly/3ZFCuMt
