Massive Statement by Autotrader UK, they expect a "Seismic Shift" to Electric Vehicles in the next decade. Autotrader has huge volumes of search data which allows it to predict trends far more accurately than the blustering vested interests that contribute nothing but noise to the ecosystem. It's so important that the world's first combined heat pump/air conditioning unit and EV charger in one rolls out as quickly as possible to facilitate this seismic event. The HVAC industry has the size and scale to facilitate this. Kudos to Mitsubishi Electric Ireland for being the first to recognise this. https://lnkd.in/dWcDKe2Z

EVHACS is the world’s first electric vehicle charger and heat pump/air conditioning unit in one.
About us
EVHACS helps to solve the lack of charging infrastructure globally by simply upgrading outdoor air conditioning units in their current environment or at point of fabrication to contain charging points using patent pending technology. EVHACS dramatically cuts the cost of device installation, takes up less space than having both appliances installed separately, uses fewer materials reducing wastage, and can be installed into almost any heat pump or air conditioner. EVHACS unites the Electric Vehicle Charging (EVSE), the Connected Car and the Heating Ventilation & Air Conditioning industries (HVAC).

Once you start looking you can't stop spotting air conditioners and heat pumps close to where cars are parked!
My son has started pointing at Air Conditioning in car parks and saying they should charge electric vehicles. A 10 year old gets the EVHACS concept! And so he should, the technology is for his generations future. Combining EV charging with Air Conditioning will drastically improve EV adoption through better infrastructure. There are close to 3 BILLION air conditioning units in the world today. The HVAC industry installs circa 130 million per year. EVHACS is the fastest way to roll out a charging network globally. Our next country has been identified and we can't wait to share this technology with the world.

Great seminar from Jeff Aherne from EVHACS as part of the IRI Institute of Refrigeration Ireland winter series today. The electrification of our heating/cooling and transport sectors will bring many challenges for the grid. It was very interesting to hear how we in RACHP sector might play our part in balancing grid loads with energy controls on refrigeration plant and heat pump systems. Órlaith Gillen
