ISO/ASTM 52939:2023 represents more than just a new standard - it marks a significant step toward making 3D construction printing a recognized building method. This International Standard provides documented proof that 3D printed structures can meet the construction industry’s structural integrity requirements, helping build trust in this innovative technology. With ISO/ASTM 52939:2023, the approval process for 3D printed structures is now clearer and more accessible, offering a structured set of guidelines that simplifies compliance and strengthens confidence in 3D construction as a practical building solution. Project teams now have a reliable framework that guides the approval process, helping to save time, reduce uncertainties, and increase project efficiency. As more projects adopt this standard, the benefits to the industry will continue to grow. We’re proud to congratulate Harcourt Technologies Ltd on being the first in the world to build under this standard with their social housing project in Grange Close, Dundalk. 🌍 HTL’s achievement - and their well-deserved “Standards Innovation Award” - sets a new benchmark in 3D construction printing.
