I am delighted to share that today I was appointed as a Co-chair of the Data and Disclosures Working Group to Central Bank of Ireland's Climate Risk and Sustainable Finance Forum. Special thanks to Rory McElligott and Philip Brennan for nominating me for this position and to my Insurance Ireland's colleagues for their ongoing support. Look forward to engaging with Insurance Ireland members on these important topics in 2025.

Great to see this statement by the European Supervisory Authorities on a consistent approach to the implementation of #DORA. It sets out clear expectations for financial firms reflecting existing starting points and the need for gaps to be identified and addressed in a timely manner. Welcome and important in an integrated single market is the commitment of the ESAs to continue to work with national authorities to deliver “a pragmatic, outcomes-focused and timely approach to implementation”. https://lnkd.in/eyNYKZMg

Insurance Ireland welcomes this morning's news that the Injuries Resolution Board's functions and powers are being continually developed. The Injuries Resolution Board's recently introduced mediation service has now been extended to motor insurance personal injury claims. This is an important step in the evolution of the Injuries Resolution Board, giving consumers a simple and effective method of settling an injury claim without the cost, stress and delay of going into litigation. The Injuries Resolution Board began offering mediation services for employer-liability claims in December 2023 before extending this to public liability injury claims in May 2024. #PersonalInjuries #MotorLiability #Insurance #ClaimsEnvironment
