2024 has been another year of success for the LPI team. From establishing our presence in Austria and Finland to inaugurating our new Frankfurt office, we have grown our footprint across Europe. This year also saw us attending key industry events like DatacenterDynamics in Virginia, visiting Quantum Loophole, Inc. in Maryland, and participating in the National Construction Summit, where we had opportunities to meet with existing partners and create new connections. Making an impact beyond the business, we supported important causes and raised over €7,000 for the Dillon Quirke Foundation through the John Reidy Memorial Golf Classic and an additional €400 for The Jack and Jill Children's Foundation. As we look ahead to 2025, we are excited to continue innovating in cloud-to-ground protection with the launch of our new Dublin HQ and Training Academy, while maintaining strong momentum in critical sectors such as data centres and renewable energy. Attending DatacenterDynamics Virginia this week resulted in seeing one of the most exciting data centre developments in the world today – Quantum Loophole, Inc. in Maryland.   Quantum Loophole is the first data centre community in the world with an eco-masterplan that puts the community first as part of a data centre campus ecosystem.   The site which is over 2000 acres and has multiple building uses including a data centre campus that will draw on 1GW of capacity, is going to require a significant surge protection masterplan in itself.   As specialists in lightning protection, power earthing, and surge protection design and installations, this was an inspiring sight and site to see! Our team at LPI Group previously tackled significant challenges on Data Centres, Power Generation and Substations in the built-up area of Frankfurt, where we designed and installed complex earthing systems at scale.   Given the increased power demands from AI data centres, careful planning on sites of this scale is essential, especially when dealing with high Earth Potential Rise due to electrical fault currents than can potentially pose risks to adjacent businesses, property, assets and most importantly pose a risk to human safety. With our specialist earthing software, LPI Group work to eliminate these risks - safeguarding clients and facilitating ecosystems in urban environments.   These are exciting times for the industry!
