𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗦𝗼𝗳𝘁 𝗦𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀 𝗔𝗿𝗲 𝗘𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗦𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀 Bruce Tulgan’s Forbes article on the persistent soft skills gap really struck a chord with us at MyCareerPath. He highlights how gaps in communication, teamwork, and adaptability are not just frustrating—they’re costly for organisations. This resonated with us because we see the real-world effects of this every day. Businesses are striving to build resilient, high-performing teams, but the challenge often lies in those ‘invisible’ skills that are so crucial for success. At MyCareerPath, we’re actively helping companies close this gap. Whether it’s through tailored learning pathways, strengths-based assessments, or one-to-one support, we focus on empowering employees with the skills they need to thrive—not just for today, but for the future of work. Soft skills aren’t just about solving immediate problems—they’re about building confidence, fostering collaboration, and ensuring businesses can adapt and grow in an ever-changing landscape. If this challenge sounds familiar, we’d love to chat about how we can help. Let’s work together to turn the soft skills gap into an opportunity for growth. 🔗 𝗖𝗵𝗲𝗰𝗸 𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗹 𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗹𝗲 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲: https://lnkd.in/dvgRSd_j #WorkplaceDevelopment #FutureOfWork #EmployeeGrowth #SkillsForSuccess #ProfessionalDevelopment #LifelongLearning #SoftSkills #EmployeeDevelopment #MyCareerPath Higher Education 4.0 Project

It's been a busy Week for MyCareerPath! This past week has been packed with great events and opportunities to share insights on the future of skills development and workforce growth. At the N-TUTORR Showcase event at the Convention Centre, Dublin, Bridie Killoran, Career and Learning Pathways Manager for the Higher Ed4.0 Project, delivered a thought-provoking presentation. Referencing the recent McKinsey Report, Bridie highlighted that 40% of current jobs may no longer exist by 2030, emphasising the pressing need for upskilling and reskilling to ensure business sustainability. She also spoke about how increasing digitalisation in the workplace has amplified the need for transversal (soft) skills. Bridie also shared exciting news about the launch of the Transversal Skills Micro-Credential (5 ECTS credits at Level 8) in May 2024, developed by MyCareerPath and Atlantic Technological University. The first cohort from Forward Emphasis International is already benefiting from this new offering. Thank you to Sinead Heneghan and the team at the Learning & Development Institute (L&DI) for organising an incredible day at the #LDIConference in Croke Park. The theme, "Sustaining Organisational Growth: A New Vision for L&D in the Age of AI," led to rich discussions about how AI is reshaping the learning and development landscape. It was fantastic to join forces with the Advance Centre - Professional Education for Digital Transformation and University College Dublin to showcase all we have to offer. Last week, we also attended the Slick+ Social Learning Summit in Sligo, an inspiring event that brought together leading voices in L&D, HR, and business leadership. Discussions highlighted the importance of regular check-ins and informal exchanges to strengthen hybrid team collaboration. The Careers Inspire Learning Week in Boston Scientific #Galway was another fantastic opportunity to showcase ATU Programs, Recognition of Prior Learning #RPL, MyCareerPath, to all the amazing staff at their Galway Facility. Thank you to Louise McBrearty for having us! With more to come, we’re looking forward to the next meeting of The Change-Makers Club on Tuesday, December 17, via Microsoft Teams where Bridie Killoran will be speaking on "Building Resilient Careers Through Skills Development" alongside guest speaker PhD student Tianran Zhang and her presentation on ‘How Does Your Brain Work in a REAL / VR Simulated Natural Environment? A Comparative Study on Cognition, Well-Being, and Brain Activity.’ Thanks to everyone who made it such a rewarding and energising week!
