🚍 Our Wastewater team recently conducted a group site visit to the Enfield WWTP Expansion Project site to gain exposure to new treatment processes (Sludge Drying Reed Beds) in wastewater treatment. The team attended a detailed project briefing at Nicholas O'Dwyer’s Head Office, where they reviewed the site and recently completed upgrade works before proceeding to Enfield to observe firsthand how Nicholas O'Dwyer is helping to achieve the goals of this essential infrastructure project. 🗺️ Nicholas O'Dwyer was appointed by Uisce Éireann in January 2023 to commence the expansion project, with planned completion in December 2025. The project is located at Enfield WwTP, approximately 1.6km southwest of Enfield, Co Meath adjacent to the River Blackwater and border with Co. Kildare. 💚 Nicholas O’Dwyer is the Employer’s Representative managing the project, which will support social and economic growth across Enfield, Johnstown Bridge and the surrounding area by expanding the WWTP’s treated capacity while ensuring compliance with national and EU wastewater legislation This project will significantly reduce energy consumptions and reduce carbon emission associated with the traditional wastewater treatment process. 🤝 NOD were welcomed and guided by the Coffey team during the entire site visit. The Uisce Éireann Irish Water Project Manager and representatives of Meath County Council were also in attendance. 💚 The team enjoyed their day out and gained new knowledge about treatment processes, particularly Sludge Drying Reed Beds. #rskfamily #infrastructure #wastewater
