Once again this year, we joined in the fun of Christmas Jumper Day, trading our uniforms for festive outfits! Each year, we select a cause to support, and this time, we're raising funds for Children’s Health Ireland. The event will help to raise funds that go towards vital life-saving equipment for the wards, theatres, departments and ICU in our children’s hospitals. Our new Learning and Development Knowledge Hub app is already making a big impact to our team members, and we’re thrilled to see everyone diving into their learning journeys.📚 One of the best parts? Each completed module brings a special reward! Our Learning and Development team have been busy sending out boxes of goodies tied to the training modules completed. This month has been Women’s Health Month which we’ve focused on as well as menopause and perimenopause in stores. We asked Store Manager Lorna to help with all things Women’s health, and here’s her holistic approach suggestions 🫴🏽 Our learning and development department ensure each team member is confident enough to help customers on the shop floor with their knowledge. Last week we celebrated World Mental Health Day, and our sentiments below still stand. One extra initiative our HR team have brought in this year is a wellbeing day. This is an additional day annual leave designed to support your positive mental health and overall wellbeing.🥰 A few examples over the past few months from our team include float sessions, wedding dress shopping, spa days and attending Taylor Swift The Eras Tour!

Today we just launched our new learning management system for internal training. This has been a 14 month journey to make our training even more accessible - a blended learning approach with an interactive and fun app. 🤝 It will provide the ability to release resources, direct to every individual, all at once. As well as monthly resources that will be adapted into new exciting and engaging lessons optimised for learning on mobile devices. We pride ourselves on our learning and development, making sure all employees are trained up and feeling confident before answering queries on the store floor. 😊

The Echo Women’s Mini Marathon in Cork will take place this Sunday September 22nd and we are the training partners for this exciting event! 🎉 At Nourish, we believe in the power of natural, wholesome foods to fuel your body the right way. We’re so happy to share our new store that has just opened last week! This is located in the Dunnes Stores on Patrick Street, Cork and joins our Bandon Road store already open. Meet Swarnali 👋 Swarnali recently celebrated her one year anniversary with Nourish this month, as well as starting her new position as Trainee Store Manager in Beacon Court. She joined us as Assistant Store Manager due to her interest in the Nourish stores. She worked close to a Nourish, regularly popping in admiring products and the merchandising. She is very into wellness in general, practicing yoga, conscious of her health and environmentally friendly products. She said she really wanted to work for an Irish company and support Irish, so applied for her role. "So everything lead me to it!" We asked her what her favourite thing is about working here: “The support. The support we get from senior management. They really understand what we need, what we need for the store, and encourage you so much with it. I will also regularly ask other stores for help too, and I always get an answer. Hard work is recognised and opportunities arise from that. “ Interested in a leadership role?
