We are witnessing at first-hand the transformative power of new industries that are accelerating the decarbonisation of traditional economies - battery gigafactories, low-carbon steel mills, renewable energy, etc.
Access to skills and talent is critical to enable the construction of these new industries and SilverBack is the leading technical recruiter working across the entire supply chain, mobilising talent to help deliver these enormous, time-pressured and challenging construction projects.
SilverBack achieves Investors in Diversity Bronze accreditation.
SilverBack is proud to announce that we have been awarded the Investors in Diversity Bronze accreditation from the Irish Centre for Diversity. It’s part of SilverBack's commitment to fostering a diverse, inclusive and equitable workplace for all employees and it sets a strong foundation for the business to continue to develop our D&I credentials.
‘SilverBack is an inclusive business operating in the traditionally homogenous construction & engineering sector, a sector in which women and minority groupings are notoriously under-represented. With the excellent input from the Investors in Diversity team, this accreditation helps to frame SilverBack’s ambition to improve representation of all groups within our international operations’ says Paddy Lyons, CEO.

Glad midsommar önskar vi på SilverBack.
Leaving the north of Sweden today in dappled sunshine ☀️ Wishing all of our clients, teams, suppliers and friends in Sweden a very Happy Midsummer. Shame I'll miss the celebration.
A six-fold surge in European debt investment for cleantech projects is perfectly timed for this month's EU introduction of Net-Zero Industry Act. Also, great to see Europe closing the gap with the US as state funding and venture capital investing picks up the pace.

Last week I attended Demo North in Luleå. It was an inspiring few days in the North of Sweden discussing some of the most ambitious construction and engineering projects of our time underway in Norrbotten and the surrounding areas being undertaken by H2 Green Steel, LKAB, SSAB, Talga Group, Vattenfall to name a few.
These projects require massive collaboration between the surrounding communities, government agencies, construction contractors, and investors. What's evident is that there's a huge collective desire to make the green transition happen, and fast, in Northern Sweden which will have a multi-generational effect for us all in the mission to shift from traditional industries' fossil fuel usage.
What's also evident is the need to attract and retain talent to build and eventually maintain these green mega projects.
We were lucky to attend a talk with Henrik Henriksson from H2 Green Steel, the key figure and catalyst of the green transition worldwide, where he spoke about funding their mega project in Boden.
As part of an Irish delegation of companies who attended throughout the week hosted by the Enterprise Ireland Nordics team, Luis Faria, Susan B. and James Fox, we had the opportunity to visit Northvolt Ett in Skelleftea to present and showcase what the Irish construction supply chain could offer Northvolt as well as presenting SilverBack's value-add and experience in mobilising scarce talent to a project such as this. It was great to be given the opportunity to do so and also to be able to see how our fellow Irish companies are helping the green transition in Europe through their involvement in pioneering green/cleantech construction projects.
