𝗕𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗼𝗳 ’𝟮𝟰: 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝘃𝘆 𝗟𝗶𝗳𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 Today, we are looking back on some of our biggest crane lifts of 2024. Planning, designing, temporary works, our supply chain (including crane hire companies) and our site teams are all crucial in safely delivering the heavy lifting engineering required for our projects. Collaboration is absolutely vital. You can see some examples of our lifts in the images below. In June, we hosted a Mobile Crane Forum knowledge-sharing event in Portlaoise, Ireland, with 30 industry leaders from Ireland and our Data Centre / Life Sciences & Tech divisions, alongside owners/principals from the top 10 crane suppliers in Ireland. Some highlights in 2024 included: 𝗟𝗶𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗸 𝘁𝗼 𝗙𝗼𝘆𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗹 𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲: We installed all bridges with the aid of a selection of cranes ranging from 500 – 1000 tonnes. Our Engineering Services team faced the challenge of difficult ground conditions throughout for the crane installations, but through collaboration and expertise they were successfully overcome. 𝗞𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗲 𝗕𝘆𝗽𝗮𝘀𝘀: Our team installed the new structure in a very challenging location using a 600 tonne crawler crane to complete the new River Shannon crossing. The LR1600/2 crawler crane was positioned on a temporary piled foundation to carry out the lift. Across our territories, these heavy lifting engineering projects and many more are fantastic achievements for all involved. #WeAreSisk #Construction #Infrastructure #Cranes #HeavyLifting Paul Brown Steven McGee Ross Cullen Garry Meredith Jose Fernandez Richard Thorpe Barry Ryan

𝗕𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗼𝗳 '𝟮𝟰: 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗜𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗵 𝗧𝗶𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀 In November, we were proud to be a partner of The Irish Times – Innovation Awards. The overall winner was PACE – a platform for analysing carbon emissions, specifically within the aviation sector. Their ESG reporting tool will support this sector to reduce C02 enabling sustainable growth. As sponsor for the Design & Manufacturing category, we presented the winner of this category to the engineering start-up Better Futures, picking up an award for its AI tools that seek to help engineers dramatically cut down their paperwork. “Engineers only spend about 20 per cent of their time doing engineering and truly innovating,” says Better Futures founder and CEO Anthony McLoughlin. “AI is arguably the greatest tool at their disposal to improve this but figures from the US show that only 4 per cent have adopted it.” Sarah-Jane Pisciotti, 𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 & 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻 𝗗𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿, 𝗦𝗶𝘀𝗸 𝘀𝗮𝗶𝗱:“Congratulations to all of the winners, it was a hard won contest with some outstanding innovations, many of whom align with our own offering including the emphasis on the capturing of accurate carbon emission data, driving sustainable innovation.” For further info on The Irish Times Innovation Awards please visit: https://lnkd.in/ethrAxWS Sarah-Jane Pisciotti Tom Byrne Juan A. 𝗧𝗼𝘆 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝘂𝗲𝘀 Our joinery and training centre in Dublin is in the midst of creating handmade wooden toys which will be delivered to children's charities and hospitals across Ireland, UK and Europe in time for Christmas. Our carpentry and joinery apprentices have pushed their creative boundaries again this year, producing 500 wooden toys, all made from recycled timber, where possible. The toys include, table & chairs, art sets, cars and grasshoppers. Each toy has been uniquely laser etched, with no stickers and zero plastic used as a result. Thank you to our entire joinery and training centre team for all your efforts this year! #WeAreSisk #SiskToys #Sustainability #SocialValue Ronan Murphy Winifred Paul Brown Donal McCarthy Steven McGee Maura O'Farrell - Toles Sean Fitzpatrick Ger Penny Marcus C. 𝗗𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗲 𝗥𝗼𝗮𝗱𝘀 𝗙𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗲𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 - 𝗔𝟭𝟮 𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝟮𝟱/𝟮𝟲 The video below features our recent A12 highways project in Essex, UK, a scheme on behalf of our partner National Highways. Filmed a few weeks before the road fully opened for traffic this Autumn, Project Manager for the scheme, John Winters, explains more about the works, the reasoning behind it, how traffic was kept following, the local social value benefits and more. We also hear from the Mayor of Colchester, Lesley Scott-Boutell. As you'll hear, one of the biggest innovations on site was the reuse of 100% of the original concrete - 48,000 tonnes approximately - which was processed near the scheme by Tarmac and reused as part of the new surface. This resulted in a substantial reduction in the carbon footprint of the project. A massive thanks to our team involved in the scheme and to our fantastic supply chain partners. Look out for further features on our Concrete Roads Framework projects in 2025. #WeAreSisk #NationalHighways #ConcreteRoads #Innovation Paul Brown Steven McGee Alan Rodger Mike Widdicks Scott Cooper Uven Govender Sarah King Caroline Goliath MBA FICE Matthew Everett Phillip Purvis Simon Amor Karl Brooks Mindy Bhogal Ramboll Chevron Traffic Management
