About us

Telecommunications Industry Ireland accounts for the vast bulk of industry investment and employment, including providers of broadband, broadcasting, cable, fixed, mobile, satellite and wireless internet as well as tower companies, network providers and equipment manufacturers. We represent industry to key external stakeholders such as ComReg, the Minister and Department of the Environment, Climate and Communications, Government Departments, local authorities, political parties, public representatives, DG CONNECT, regulators, and the media. We advise and assist our member companies on issues relevant to the sector to help them achieve outstanding business performance. Collectively, the telecommunications industry in Ireland employs approximately 24,000 people and generates substantial VAT and other tax revenues for the Exchequer. Our members have made a capital investment of over €3.5 billion in their networks over the past five years to improve coverage and service quality.
