About us
In 2024, TRA takes place in Dublin, Ireland from the 15th - 18th of April. It is hosted by the Irish Department of Transport and organised by TTI (Transport Infrastructures Ireland), University College Dublin (UCD), Enterprise Ireland and CPI (Conference Partners International). The theme of #TRA2024 is Transport Transitions: Advancing Sustainable and Inclusive Mobility. TRA2024 will aim to address the main challenges in the transport and mobility of people and goods, with respect to energy, environment, safety, security and socio-economic issues. It was initiated in 2006 and takes place every two years in a different European city. One week on from TRA 2024 and we are still trying to process everything that happened. We are grateful to the over 4000 delegates who joined us in Dublin to make TRA 2024 unforgettable. One of our highlights was the story of Conall Mac Aongusa, who lost his wallet on the no. 4 Dublin Bus en route to TRA. Driver Robert Dowling found it and personally called to inform him it was at the depot. Unable to retrieve it, as Conall was still at TRA, Robert went above and beyond, delivering it personally to TRA.
