About us
UCD micro-credentials are an exciting innovation developed and delivered by UCD’s world-class academic faculty. Designed for busy professionals, who may not have the time to engage with larger programmes of study, courses are online or blended, allowing you to learn at a pace that works. As well as gaining university credit in the form of ECTS, UCD micro-credentials are subject to robust quality assurance processes, to ensure they are designed, developed and delivered, to the highest standards in teaching and learning. While all UCD micro-credentials can be taken as individual courses, many can be stacked, like building blocks, into a larger award. This approach allows you to achieve a university qualification while allowing for life and work commitments. UCD is ranked in the top 1% of higher education institutions worldwide. Ireland’s largest and most globally engaged university, UCD enrols over 30,000 students from 136 countries. UCD’s excellence in teaching and learning is globally recognised, with 13 subjects ranking in the top 100 in the world (QS World University Ranking by Subject 2020).
