About us
Since the founding of VHA Architects in 1986 by Vincent Hannon, we have been privileged to form long-term relationships with many of the nation’s most distinguished developers, businesses and institutions. Our wealth of design and planning experience, built across a range of projects, means we are well-versed in the ways location, market pressures, sustainability and other elements play into each project's unique composition. We have gained insight into what has worked historically and what hasn’t, educating us to look into the future to anticipate the needs of our clients. VHA continues to strive towards excellence by continuous professional training of staff and guaranteeing quality by maintaining its internationally recognised ISO certification. VHA believes that our team, design philosophy and work ethic set us apart.

VHA - Vincent Hannon Architects' Sustainability Director, Rhiannon Laurie, Sustainability Strategist Caitlin Wells, and Senior Sustainability Analyst Mahsa Salek gathered at SDC - Sustainable Design Collective's first group meeting of 2025 to discuss supply chain decarbonisation challenges and opportunities, as well as the impact biodiversity can have on health-conscious design. Some really interesting insights were shared, and everyone thoroughly engaged in the topics; we're looking forward to the next one! 💫 #SDC2025 #sustainability #vincenthannonarchitects
Last month SDC Associates in the UK met for the group’s first meeting in 2025. Proceedings began with Deborah Allen leading a discussion on Biodiversity; How can we elevate the status and importance of biodiversity in our architectural and interior design projects to create spaces that not only meet the needs of clients but also contribute to the health of the planet? Co-Founder, Joanna Knight, then led a second discussion on decarbonisation of supply chains; Are we also investigating company emissions within the supply chains beyond product carbon footprints? How can we incentivise change? Our hosts, Ege Carpets, then gave us an overview of their ambitions; As part of the company’s commitments, it has launched a Take-Back system which ensures used carpets go to recycling partners who separate and recycle up to 98-100% of the carpet components.
