Week 12 & the Final Session of the Winter Semester – Prototyping & Exciting Collaborations! 🚀 We wrapped up the winter semester with the first session of the Prototyping Workshop, led by ‏Ido Yohanan‏, our Head of Engineering. In this session, Ido discussed the importance and key principles of concept development, guiding teams through the transition from idea to solution. But that’s not all! 🎨💡 This session also marked the kickoff of one of our most cherished collaborations – our partnership with Tiltan School of Design & Visual Communication. Every year, talented Tiltan students join our teams to work on branding, color schemes, presentations, roll-ups, and visualizations of their solutions. During the workshop, we held an introductory session between the designers and teams to set the stage for an exciting collaboration ahead! Week 11 of the Annual Innovation Program – Feedback, Learning & Presentations! 🚀 We kicked off the week with an online feedback session on the teams' brainstorming assignments, led by none other than Yaeer Lev Director Of Innovation at Edwards Lifesciences, who has been mentoring us for the third consecutive year! 🙌 Yaeer didn’t just provide feedback—he taught the teams how to evaluate themselves, what questions to ask, and gave valuable advice for their next steps. We wrapped up the week with the end-of-semester presentations, where all teams showcased their progress and received insightful feedback from: Dr. Lior Lev Tov‏, Co-founder of Biodesign Israel and this year’s program lead, as well as from our esteemed mentors, ‏Oded Tamir‏ and Yoav Venkert. This fascinating session brought together representatives from all eight Clalit hospitals with surgical departments, focusing—of course—on the challenges of operating rooms. It was an incredible opportunity for peer learning, cross-hospital collaboration, and advancing impactful projects. We were honored to take part in this meaningful journey! We kicked off the week with an introductory session on concept selection and updates from our business mentors, who joined the teams for one-on-one meetings. Later, we had the pleasure of hosting two exceptional speakers: ‎✨ ‏Edna Lazar‏, Venture investor at JJDC, an experienced marketing and business development executive in healthcare, a mentor, and a true supporter of the Biodesign Israel center, delivered an insightful introduction to the Business Model session, helping our teams develop strategic thinking, asking the right questions, and build a strong foundation for their ventures. ✨ Dr. ‏Eyal Orion, MD, CEO at Vectorious, serial Med-Tech entrepreneur, co-founder, and active board member in five medical device companies, captivated us with a fascinating talk on need-driven innovation, sharing his personal and professional experiences in identifying and developing groundbreaking solutions in today's ever-evolving world.
