Big news to close out 2024 — justt has raised a $30M Series C! We’ve been with Ofir Tahor and Roenen Ben-Ami from day one as they set out to tackle one of e-commerce’s biggest headaches: illegitimate chargebacks. With advanced AI and deep domain expertise, Justt is helping merchants recover serious revenue in a world where it’s easier than ever for customers to dispute charges. This year alone, Justt grew more than 200%, nearly doubled the chargeback volume handled for its customers (including some of the biggest names in global e-commerce), and continues to show why it’s a game-changer in the payments space. 2025 is shaping up to be even bigger for Justt, and we can’t wait to see what’s next. In CTech by Calcalist’s Bibliotech column, F2 General Partner Maor Fridman reflects on how Malcolm Gladwell’s Talking to Strangers has influenced his approach to early meetings with founders and the investment process. Read his full review here: https://lnkd.in/dteqev4t
If you know me, you know I’m passionate about reading—I aim for a book a week. One book that’s had a lasting impact on me is Malcolm Gladwell’s Talking to Strangers. The book challenged me to think deeper about the complexity of understanding people and helped me build a framework for analyzing investment opportunities—going beyond surface-level assumptions. I shared more thoughts on this in my review for CTech by Calcalist’s Bibliotech column. You can read the full review here: https://lnkd.in/diw4PvUj Thanks to James Spiro for including me. “Are we on the brink of autonomous scientific discovery?” This question by Barak Rabinowitz sparked an incredible conversation at a dinner we hosted last night with Amazon Web Services (AWS), bringing together some of Israel’s brightest researchers, scientists and entrepreneurs. The discussion challenged traditional ideas about academia, industry, and the role of AI in shaping the future of scientific research. From breaking down outdated systems to envisioning entirely new ways of creating and sharing knowledge, the insights were both bold and thought-provoking. A huge thank you to Antonella Kamien at AWS for co-hosting this event and to Professors Oded Rechavi and Yitzhak Pilpel for guiding such an inspiring discussion. The future of science—and the opportunities it creates—is closer than we think.
