𝗘𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗴𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲 Marking its 20th year, the 𝗜𝗹𝗮𝗻 𝗥𝗮𝗺𝗼𝗻 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲, organized by the Israel Space Agency, serves as a key platform for exploring the latest advancements in space technology and innovation. This year’s event brought together industry leaders to discuss challenges, celebrate achievements, and uncover new opportunities. As part of the conference, our CEO, Shon Dana, was invited to lead a panel on Energy & Space, where industry experts shared insights and innovations on this exciting topic: Oded Gour-Lavie, CEO of nT-Tao Compact Fusion Power Moran Haviv, Strategic Innovation at Microsoft Jonathan Geifman, CEO of Helios Lilach Danewitz, Director of Strategy & Partnerships, NTT Innovation Laboratory Israel The discussion explored groundbreaking advancements in energy and space-from fusion energy and lunar resource utilization to space-based solar power and decarbonizing data centers. We examined both the 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 in developing 𝘀𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗴𝘆 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 for space missions and beyond. This panel highlighted the crucial role of 𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 in shaping the future of energy on Earth and in space. Prof. Dario Dekel and Dr. 𝐊𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐲𝐚 𝐊𝐮𝐥𝐛𝐢𝐭𝐬𝐤𝐢 set the tone with opening remarks, emphasizing the importance of energy innovation researches. Prof. Carmel Rotschild introduced the 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐨𝐭-𝐞𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐲 𝐜𝐲𝐜𝐥𝐞, demonstrating how it can transform any renewable source into an "electric island". Prof. Alon Grinberg Dana presented his work on 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐜 𝐦𝐨𝐝𝐞𝐥𝐬, offering key insights into chemical processes in energy systems. Prof. Guy Ramon elaborated about 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐦𝐨𝐚𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐜 𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬, a groundbreaking method for utilizing low-grade heat. Ph.D. candidate Nicola Michel Seraphim and MSc students Bar Avneri and Or Mayraz presented their innovative researches on porous pathways for energy applications, advanced wastewater treatment and ocean-based carbon capture.
