The newly minted 3rd cohort of the #DreamTeam showcases 45 of Israel's most promising startups in a wide range of fields and stages, that are unified in their values of diversity, inclusion, and innovation for good. Out of hundreds of applicants, these companies are the cream of the crop, and we are proud to present them and their groundbreaking tech at our Israeli Innovation Expo. The launch event brought together leading players in the local ecosystem alongside prominent figures from the international community for a celebration of ingenuity, resilience, and hope. The highlight of the evening was the ribbon-cutting ceremony. We were honored to have with us our strategic partners, former Minister of Science & Technology Izhar Shay and the families of Uri Russo and Dr. Lilia Gurevitch, dedicated employees from companies within our Dream Team, who were tragically murdered on Oct. 7th. The promise of Israeli innovation is forever intertwined with the cherished memory of our loved ones who were taken too soon. Thank you to everyone who came to celebrate the launch with us (despite the stormy weather ☔), the energy at the event was magnetic, it uplifted our spirits and energized us with heaps of hope! TLDR: Work with mensches - close better deals. The past couple of weeks I've been in and out of hospital (I'm fine, grateful for access to exceptional healthcare). It wasn't easy. What was easy were my interactions with Yaron Carni and Michel Abadi, partners at Maverick Ventures Israel, and Rochelle Ram our wonderful VP Finance. We're in a very busy period, but Yaron and Michel were concerned, kind, and patient, even as we closed our latest seed investment in an amazing company at the same time! Sometimes, what matters most at work isn't the work. It's knowing that you work for good, supportive people who value you. When things hit the fan, you want a mensch in the office. I'm lucky to have two.
