We were honored to host Limor Schwartz and the Network of Jewish Human Service Agencies Clinical & Volunteer mission for an impactful day of clinical training focused on trauma and resiliency. NATAL's facilitators Rina Buberoglu and liore lander, through an experiential and engaging approach, shared their knowledge, experience and expertise, and created a safe space where seasoned professionals could learn, exchange insights, challenge perspectives, and engage in meaningful dialogue. The collective wisdom in the room was palpable and we look forward to many more opportunities to share and learn. Day 2 of The Network of Jewish Human Service Agencies Clinical & Volunteer experience in Israel with Taglit-Birthright Israel was a full day clinical training on trauma with The Network's Israeli member, NATAL ! We rarely get a chance to visit our Israeli members at their "home turf" AND get trained by experts in the field, so today brought upon an exciting opportunity for The Network and the 21 clinicians on this trip. NATAL 's offices are beautiful and welcoming, and all you would think a "trauma-informed" space may look like. The facilitators, Rina & Lior, did a fantastic job putting together a full day training that covered the many topics and layers of trauma, fitting the variety of roles represented by our group, using real life examples, and providing a lot of experiental opportunities. Thank you to Sharon Yeheskel-Oron 🎗️ Maayan Aviv and NATAL for your continued partnership and passion, to Rina and Lior for taking our vision for today's training and making it a reality, and to our group participants for sharing your own experience, expertise and work!

Honored to Support Ukraine: NATAL at Genesis Prize Foundation's Third Anniversary Commemoration On Monday, we had the profound honor of participating in the Genesis Prize Foundation (GPF) commemoration marking the third anniversary of Russia's invasion of Ukraine. This meaningful event was hosted at the prestigious The Peres Center for Peace and Innovation in Tel Aviv. The gathering celebrated the 2023 Genesis Prize honorees – a distinguished group we are deeply humbled to be part of – who have dedicated themselves to supporting the Ukrainian people. Alongside representatives from 21 humanitarian organizations, NATAL proudly shared its impactful work with Ukrainian mental health professionals over the past three years. Our efforts have mainly focused on supporting the establishment of vital mental health infrastructure in Ukraine and supporting capacity building for the remarkable Ukrainian NGO, the Masha Fund, which provides essential services to vulnerable women and children. Stan Polovets, Co-Founder and Chairman of The Genesis Prize Foundation, delivered a powerful message during the event: “For over 1000 days, Ukraine has been in an existential fight against an enemy threatening its sovereignty. From the outset of the war, Jewish activists and NGOs, many from Israel, immediately sprang into action, providing assistance to those in dire need. We are proud to honor these organizations and support their work in helping the Ukrainian people in their quest to live freely in security and peace.” The meaningful commemoration was co-hosted by Natan Sharansky, Co-Founder and Chairman of GPF's Advisory Board, whose personal connection to Ukraine added particular significance to the proceedings. We remain committed to continuing our support for Ukraine's resilience and recovery in these challenging times. #StandWithUkraine #MentalHealthSupport #GenesisPrize #HumanitarianAid #resilience #trauma Ifat Morad, Na'ama Goldfill, Sharon Yeheskel-Oron 🎗️

We’re excited to share that we recently delivered a specialized workshop for the United Nations Office of Human Resources in NYC! 🌟 On February 6th, we had the privilege of hosting 20 UN HR professionals at the beautiful Bahai International Community offices for a 1.5-hour session on "The Resilient HR Manager: Tools for Thriving in Complex Times." The workshop was expertly facilitated by Rotem Yanai, an experienced NATAL facilitator. What makes this particularly meaningful is the unique challenges these HR professionals face daily. They support staff working in crisis zones, manage multicultural teams across time zones, and help field staff processing trauma—all while maintaining organizational stability in volatile situations. Through interactive exercises and peer discussions, participants gained hands-on experience with evidence-based resilience tools they can apply personally and share with their teams. Heartfelt thanks to Dr. Nenna Ndukwe-Hertz CPsychol CSci AFBPsS, the UN Workplace Mental Health & Wellbeing Strategic Lead, and Adva Vilchinski, from the Permanent Mission of Israel to the United Nations, for making this impactful session possible. #UnitedNations #Leadership #MentalHealth #HumanResources #ProfessionalDevelopment #Resilience #SelfCare #Trauma Sharon Yeheskel-Oron 🎗️ , Maayan Aviv 🎗️ , Dana Sinay , American Friends of NATAL

Since the 7th of October, NATAL has received countless inquires from mental health professionals located outside of Israel, wanting to see how they can get involved and help NATAL in our mission of treating trauma caused by terror and war, and re-building personal and community resiliency. We are so proud that our American Friends of NATAL have organized an affinity group to learn and organize within the field.
NATAL is thrilled to invite Mental Health Professionals to join a peer sharing and active learning group. With more than 25 years of expertise, NATAL is Israel's leading organization in trauma related to war and terror, and building resilience. Please share with your circles: https://lnkd.in/eg9bnbe3

"The nightmare of captivity may be over, but the emotional journey is just beginning for the released hostages, their families, and Israeli society." Op-Ed by riki meiri, a senior NATAL therapist, about the support needed for #hostages coming home. While we celebrate each hostage's return, we must recognize that their journey of recovery is only beginning. This understanding drove NATAL to partner with the Kamim Foundation to launch the dedicated Kamim Helpline (073-236-3316) – a crucial support system for released hostages, their families, and their extended support networks. The psychological impact of captivity creates ripples that extend far beyond the individual, touching families, communities, and our entire society. Together, we can ensure no one walks this journey alone. #MentalHealth #Trauma #Support #Healing #IsraeliSociety #TraumaRecovery #CommunitySupport
