Autumn in New York 🍂 Reporting back after the 2024 #ClimateWeekNYC. [On a personal note, before I get to the highlights - it's always been a dream of mine to collaborate on graphic design with companies that make the world a better place. Thank you Ophira Melamed, Ph.D. and the groundbreaking NitroFix for a chance to do so!] What are some of the most important takeaways from the event? ▪️ The main focus at the moment is decarbonization. It will transform global production and create new industries, markets as well as paths of economic development. ▪️If you act first, you will come out ahead - there's an urgency to applying the lower-carbon economy changes in every country and adapt context-specific strategies. ▪️Green energy market is worth hundreds of billions of $$$. You've got the biggest players in the game looking to invest. It's a huge opportunity for realistic impact that can be made in terms of generating and storing power. ▪️There’s A LOT of startups with innovative ideas to provide solutions. I was happy to hear out 20 of them and learn all about how you can turn CO2 into perfume or produce ammonia by relying only on renewable electricity, water and air. I love that caring about the environment is becoming a trend and that there’s so much financing for the projects that keep clean businesses alive.
