Nvidia will cease production of its current RTX 40 series graphics cards, including the RTX 4070, 4080, and more, in preparation for the upcoming launch of the RTX 50 series in January.

As per the Board Channels forums, the RTX 4070 Ti will be sold out by November due to limited supply. Production of the RTX 4070 and RTX 4070 Super will end by December, with stock being cleared out by January. The production of the RTX 4080 Super and RTX 4090 ended in October, with the final batch of cards expected to be cleared by November.

The RTX 50 series GPUs are anticipated to be unveiled at CES 2025 (Consumer Electronics Show). Based on the previous rumours, the RTX models will be launched on a monthly schedule. The RTX 5090, 5090D, and 5080 are expected to debut in January, with the RTX 5070 and 5070 Ti following in February. The RTX 5060 and 5060 Ti are likely to be released in March.

Apart from the launch details, the expected prices of these GPUs have also been leaked, and they are as follows:

  • RTX 5090 32GB: $1999-$2499
  • RTX 5080 16GB: $1199-$1499
  • RTX 5070 12GB: $599-$699

Regarding the pricing, these are just rumours for now, as Nvidia hasn't officially announced anything. Nvidia is also giving away an RTX 4080 Super to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Half-Life 2.
