Bridgestone has set clear targets to achieve 50% reduction of our total CO2 emissions (Scope 1 & Scope 2) by 2030, carbon neutrality by 2050, and to reduce Scope 3 CO2 emissions by more than 5 times our operations’ emissions by 2030. We’re thrilled to share that in 2023, we achieved a 57% reduction in Scope 1 & 2 emissions, surpassing our 2030 target. This milestone was significantly driven by our increased use of renewable energy (electricity). Additionally, we reduced Scope 3 emissions by 1.9 times our operational emissions, thanks to improvements in rolling resistance of our premium Dan-Totsu products and proposals for optimal operating routes in our mobility solutions.
