Empowering Education: Peer Learning Meets Spoken English Training Close to 3000+ teachers across the Tumakuru & Madhugiri educational districts participated in the December's Sanchalana program on the 21st (Saturday). Sanchalana is a teacher's peer-learning platform that Caring with Colour has developed in partnership with DIET Tumakuru and DIET Madhugiri, where teachers come to learn experiential teaching methods they can adopt in their classrooms. We had the pleasure of hosting Mr. Santhosh Rao, Associate Vice President (HR, Admin & CSR), Mr. Abhijit Kabbur, (Senior Manager, HR & CSR), and Raghavendra (Senior Officer, CSR) of Toyota Industries Engine India Private Limited (TIEI). Mr. Santhosh Rao also lauded CWC's efforts to create a dynamic platform like Sanchalana to transform schooling practices. We sincerely thank the TIEI's CSR team for spending their valuable time visiting the Sanchalana program, interacting with teachers and education functionaries, and motivating them. In this cycle of Sanchalana sessions we witnessed a strong engagement from 250+ teacher mentors in experiential teaching and learning practices. A total of 3000+ English, Mathematics, and Science teachers actively participated in the sessions. During this Sanchalana, we also began E-Sambhashane - a Spoken English Training Program that aims to help government school teachers cultivate an English-speaking environment in their schools. This program, co-designed in partnership with the Regional Institute of English, South India (RIESI), will be given to 1000 teachers across Tumakuru & Madhugiri over the next 8 months. The E-Sambhashane course facilitators were recently trained by CWC, and they will conduct weekly 90-minute interactive sessions for teachers every Saturday. #Sanchalana #CaringwithColour #PeerLearning #ExperientialLearning #ESambhashane

Proud moment for Caring with Colour! Our workbooks for Kannada, Mathematics, English, and Science were featured at the DIET Mandya bookstall during the prestigious 87th Akhila Bharata Kannada Sahitya Sammelana. It was truly heartwarming to see our workbooks, designed specifically for government school children, displayed at such a renowned literary event. The workbooks were designed by Caring With Colour in collaboration with DIETs (District Institute of Education and Training) in Tumakuru, Madhugiri, and Ramanagara. We have successfully distributed copies of these workbooks to 42,000+ students. These workbooks are a testament to our commitment to creating meaningful educational resources that empower young minds and bridge learning gaps. The event, which started on Friday (till Sunday), brought together literary and cultural world enthusiasts from across Karnataka, and we're honoured to have our efforts showcased in this vibrant celebration of Kannada literature and culture. Moments like these motivate us to continue innovating and supporting education for all. A big thank you to DIET Mandya for recognising and exhibiting our work and providing this platform! #CaringwithColour #NASWorkbooks #KannadaSahityaSammelana

Celebrating a Proud Milestone: Empowering Teachers, Transforming Classrooms We are overjoyed to share a proud moment for Caring with Colour! Our educational app, Teachopia, designed exclusively for teachers of Indian government schools, has surpassed 20,000+ active users. Teachers across all the districts of Karnataka, catering to Kannada, English, and Urdu media of instruction, are leveraging this platform to transform their classrooms into experiential learning spaces. Empowering Educators Through E-Sambhashane - A Spoken English Training Program Today, we proudly marked the inauguration of ‘E-Sambhashane – A Spoken Training English Program' for 1000 Government School Teachers, across the Tumakuru and Madhugiri education districts. This is a unique 9 month long spoken English training course for government English medium school teachers that helps them acquire skills in communicating and transacting their lessons in English language in their classroom. This is a collaborative effort between Caring with Colour (CWC), the Regional Institute of English, South India (RIESI), Department of State Education Research and Training (DSERT) and the District Institute of Education and Training (DIET) Tumakuru and Madhugiri Educational Districts. The program is unique in that it takes teacher through a series of 3 levels of spoken English communication (beginner, intermediate and advanced) and is modularised to 90 minute sessions each week facilitated by Teacher mentors from within their local geographies. The program includes creating a strong contingent of Teacher mentor who will champion the effort of mentoring and imparting the spoken English skills to the 1000 teachers, there by creating sustainable and local talent pool that will continue to support the English language teacher professional development initiatives. A major highlight of the inauguration was the release of the module book, which was developed collaboratively by RIESI, CWC, and DIET Tumakuru and Madhugiri. This resource, distributed to the participating mentors, embodies the program’s innovative methodology, already tried and tested successfully in the Ramanagara Education District by CWC in association with DIET Ramanagara. The ultimate vision of this program is to expand this model to benefit educators and students across Karnataka, establishing English-speaking environments in government schools at scale. We sincerely thank our collaborators – RIESI, DSERT, DIET Tumakuru, and DIET Madhugiri – for making this initiative possible. Together, we empower educators to inspire the next generation through language and confidence. #TeacherEmpowerment #SpokenEnglish #Collaboration #CaringWithColour #LangugageSkills

Empowering Classrooms with Project-Based Learning What if classrooms prioritised 21st-century skills-building over memorisation to prepare students for real life? That’s the transformation we’re working toward with Project-Based Learning (PBL)! To make PBL an essential part of experiential teaching, Caring with Colour - A Manasi Kirloskar Initiative recently oriented 200 teachers across 101 schools from every block in the Ramanagara education district. In collaboration with DIET Ramanagara and the Department of School Education, we’re reimagining classroom learning to foster a more dynamic, student-centred environment by introducing PBL, benefiting over 5000 students. Over three days, our orientation - led by Block Education Officers, Block Resource Coordinators, and government officials - guided teachers in creating hands-on, skills-focused activities using custom modules developed by CWC for English, Maths and Science. Designed with 21st-century skills at their core, these modules spark curiosity and encourage students to take ownership of their learning journey, enhancing academic achievement and essential life skills. We also equipped Cluster Resource Persons (CRPs) with the knowledge to support schools and teachers in this transformative journey. With clear guidance on using custom rubrics to assess progress, teachers are encouraged to be well-prepared to bring this meaningful approach to their classrooms. Here’s to fostering a generation of engaged, curious learners ready to take on real-world challenges! #ProjectBasedLearning #CaringWithColour #ExperintialLearning #EducationTranformation #21stCenturySkills #TeacherEmpowerment #RealWorldSkills
