About us
Change Engine strives to think about and solve the big problems of today by focusing on fundamental or first-principle thinking. First principle thinking is all about thinking from the fundamentals- getting deep and understanding things at its purest, atomic level- and then building grounds up. At Change Engine, we follow a similar approach of looking at any problem, not through any lens or bias but objectively at its true cause, and then working through it by coming up with fundamental and novel concepts.

Varun Aggarwal, Founder of Change Engine and Luis Miranda, Co-founder Indian School of Public Policy (ISPP) recently wrote an oped in The Economic Times addressing the most prevalent myths about nonprofits—and why non-profits are more essential than ever in driving meaningful change. In a world where startups and businesses are celebrated for solving large-scale problems, nonprofits are often misunderstood. But the truth is, nonprofits are essential actors for social transformation, working where markets fail, governments struggle, and society needs a voice. They tackle issues like social justice, inequity, and long-term innovation for small set of people- spaces profit-driven models often can’t or won’t go. This is an incredible time for nonprofits in India. Governments are increasingly open to partnerships, and the opportunity to drive scalable impact has never been greater. Check out the article to see where they have targeted these myths and given specific examples of great work done by some non profits in India. Read the full article here: https://lnkd.in/gAj8Txb8 What’s the biggest misconception you’ve heard about nonprofits? Let’s start a conversation in the comments!

Access to data and computational resources are the biggest challenges for AI innovators. Listen to Siddharth Garg, Professor at New York University, as he highlights how governments can play a pivotal role in solving this. He suggests that national AI data centers could be a game-changer. Picture a competitive, merit-based system where young AI builders can pitch their ideas to a panel of experts, secure resources, and scale their ideas. What do you think? Could this approach be the game-changer for nurturing innovation in AI?

Magicroll.ai from our ACE 2023 Cohort is ranking #1 on Product Hunt! Last year when Magicroll.ai first started engaging with us —they were working on a completely different product. But Rana Vivek Singh and Pawan Kumar were quick to pivot and identify the right use case. They realized that creating engaging shorts is a critical yet time-consuming task for content creators. Typically, it takes editors a couple of hours to make cuts, find the right assets, and stitch everything together. With Magicroll’s AI-powered tool, all of this now happens in just one click. What’s even better is Magicroll even allows you to tweak the results if needed. We have been using it for our Unboxing Intelligence podcast, and it’s been a game-changer. We have shared a comparison below: 🔹 Left: A short edited using Magicroll (completely autonomous, took just 2-3 minutes). 🔹 Right: A short edited by a professional editor. Try the tool out and let us know in the comments—which video do you like better?

AI is enabling the design of better chips, and better chips are fueling the development of stronger AI. But how far can this go? Could it lead us to the era of superhuman AI? In the upcoming episode of the Unboxing Intelligence podcast, Varun Aggarwal, founder of Change Engine had an insightful conversation with Siddharth Garg, Professor at New York University on 'AI in chip design'. Siddharth is one of the few experts working at the intersection of AI and chip design and has been recognized as one of Popular Science's Brilliant 10. In fact, Siddharth is among the first person who designed a chip completely using AI If you’re curious about the intersection of AI, chips, and innovation—or the entrepreneurial possibilities they unlock—this episode is a must-listen. Our founders, Varun Aggarwal and Shubham Bansal recently spoke at the Indian School of Public Policy (ISPP) on 'Why is this a good time to build a Non-profit and what's the playbook?' They shared strategies for creating high impact non-profits & introduced our emerging playbook for building "Non-profit Unicorns". It was an energizing session, filled with thoughtful questions and vibrant discussions. What truly stood out was seeing so many students already thinking of starting their own non-profits—ready to take on challenges and drive meaningful change. The future of India's impact ecosystem looks bright with such passionate individuals stepping forward!
