About us
The CoE in Cyber Security was formed in 2017 by Govt of Karnataka, as part of the Technology Innovation Strategy, to promote the cyber-safe and conducive environment for industry collaboration, address the skill gaps, build awareness and facilitate innovation in this emerging technology field of Cyber Security. The center of Excellence shall also facilitate standardization and best practices for information security across industry domains, foster innovation, research & development and conduct some of the high-end-in-house-training programs within Cyber Security Technologies.

It's finally here! The idea that I was able to seed in 2020, then started as a project in 2021 in partnership with DAKSH and executed with wide ranging consultations with stakeholders from industry, academia and civil society, is now all set to be launched! Unlike what other states have done, Karnataka has taken a whole-of-society view of cybersecurity. This policy exemplifies the need for states to take the lead in building a strong cybersecurity ecosystem. Karnataka unveils its Cyber Security Policy! This policy will lead Karnataka to be a hub of Cyber security in the country & will instill a culture of cyber security and data privacy amongst citizens and businesses. A budget of 103.87 crore is allocated to strengthen this initiative & to enhance the cyber security and start-up ecosystem in the state.
