We are often overwhelmed. And yet none of us are alone in feeling so. Our conversation will be styled as a campfire - with key discussants talking about their insights on the subject matter and our participatory audience will be sharing their experiences with the room. We believe that an emphasis on the mental health of those driving change can help build a more resilient workforce, better equipped to imagine the possibilities. The ripples would lead to greater positive impact on ground. 📅 February 26, 2025 ⏰ 9:00 AM – 10:30 AM 📍 Godrej One, Vikhroli, Mumbai 🔒 Invite-only | Curated for Development Practitioners & Funders 🔗Register here: https://lnkd.in/eBgG2XTJ In this session, we will explore: • Mental health challenges in the social sector: Understand the unique stressors faced by nonprofit professionals, from crisis response to resource constraints • Strategies to build long term resilience: Discuss challenges and systemic barriers preventing meaningful mental well-being conversations and opportunities to make a difference • Creating a culture of well-being for sustainable change: Learn how public and professional narratives about the needs of the development sector can incorporate mental well-being. If you are a development sector practitioner, a nonprofit interested in this space, or a funder interested in supporting mental health and well-being, register for this exclusive discussion at #DPW2025. Inclusive. Localized. Sustainable. Powerful. Our first gathering in Northeast India was this and more! 🌏💙 We just wrapped up our third regional gathering, co-created with our partners. Since October 2024, our total outreach through these gatherings has now crossed 220+ active participants. These gatherings bring together partners at a regional level to strengthen movements for resilient futures and foster an ecosystem built on trust. By encouraging collective reflection and stronger relationships, they catalyze change while honoring unique cultural contexts. 💡 What did we do differently this time? 📱Climate-Conscious Approach – No printouts. No plastic bottles. No unnecessary collateral. We went fully digital—a small but intentional step toward climate action. 🌱Gender & Disability-Inclusive Energizers – 💫 Ningkhanhoih, a phenomenal facilitator from the Centre for Community Initiative, Manipur, led an interactive activity where participants formed a "human smiley", reinforcing the power of collective action and accessibility. Ningkhanhoih's creativity inspired each participant as she powerfully navigated her visual impairment to bring the diverse group together. 💫 Vikhuli Achumi from Pro rural India, Mizoram, led another energizer, inviting participants to cradle a make-believe baby and sing a lullaby in a native Naga language—sparking deep reflections on caregiving, community, and gender norms. 🤝 Participation at the Core – For the first time, NGO leaders took the lead in inviting other stakeholders, including representatives from Seven Sisters Development Assistance (SeSTA), ActionAid, and SELCO Foundation, fostering meaningful cross-sectoral dialogue. 🎨 Creative Reflection Spaces – We opened the day with art- and music-based therapy and intention-setting and closed with collective reflections—bringing the gathering full circle. Some action words that emerged from the collective reflection exercise: ➡️ Learning ➡️ Synergy ➡️ Collaboration ➡️ Self-care 💙 The Way Forward? Our partners (18 organizations & 40+ participants) will continue to lead, build and honor these collaborative spaces, meeting regularly to strengthen solidarity and purpose—while crafting resilient futures. 🌍✨ Anantvijay Singh Aditi Shinde Etii Anand Khyati Pokar Saakshi Notani Shagun Peerbhai Ajagar Social Circle Centre for Community Initiative Centre for Women and Girls Cod Nerc Diya Foundation Faith Foundation Shillong Grameen Sahara GRASSROOT SHILLONG InSIDE North East Mahila Shakti Kendra NEAID (Northeast Centre for Equity Action on Integrated Development) People's Resource Development Association Pro rural India Rural Aid Service NGO Sanatan Unnayan Sangstha Social Action For Appropriate Transformation And Advancement In Rural Areas (SATRA) Utsah Uttar Betna Samaj Sangskarak Bahini

Grassroots organizations don’t just need funding — they need the right kind of funding. With climate change, economic shifts, and evolving social contexts, grassroots organizations must adapt programs faster than ever before. But without long-term, multi-year, flexible funding, resilient programs remain out of reach. 📢 But why does this matter? Here are insights from our partner organization's biannual reflections. ✅ Investing in program staff — With multi-year, flexible funding, organizations no longer need to lay off program staff at the end of a project, instead they can now invest in their capacities and growth with retaining them to ensure long-term impact. ✅ Strategic expansion — For organizations in remote geographies, flexible funding has strengthened programs and enabled scale, reaching underserved communities more effectively. ✅ Piloting new initiatives — Organizations have used flexible funding to build resource centers for marginalized communities and launch pilot programs, some of which have successfully secured additional funding for long-term sustainability. Think of long program timeframes as the hull of a boat—they provide stability. But stability alone isn’t enough. Philanthropy needs funding models that help organizations thrive, not just survive. Swipe right to see the impact of flexible funding on grassroots organizations! ➡️ 📖 Read the full report: https://lnkd.in/drkkxwga #ProgrammaticResilience #FlexibleFunding #GrassrootsLeadership #AdaptiveProgramming #RebuildFund #SocialImpact Darbar Sahitya Sansada LOK ASTHA Voluntary Medicare Society Anubhuti Trust Deepshikha Samiti Anantvijay Singh Nitesh Bauri Rashmi Chakravarty Sangeeta Bhattacharya Shiboni Sundar Shikha Tubid Shinjini Singh
