FLOCK 8.0 at Dubai Design Week! FLOCK is a crowdsourced public art installation designed and assembled by you! The artwork created together encourages experimentation, shared ownership and pride. Many thanks to our resourceful collaborators Abdul Ilaah Yousuff, SYLVIA TIANA, Aaron John, Mohammed Hisham, Deva M, Karthick, Hanaan Rasheed, and Amal Ubaid on pulling this off and photographing the experience! FLOCK was created by DesignAware as a part of the Fractals Workshop, and was supported by in5 Dubai at Dubai Design Week 2024. FLOCK 8.0 will be at The Marketplace, Dubai Design Week this weekend! FLOCK is a crowdsourced public art installation that is designed and assembled by you! There is no right or wrong way to FLOCK, and the outcome is always unpredictable. The artwork created together encourages experimentation, shared ownership and pride. Anybody can FLOCK, just grab some pieces and get building! You can join and leave at any time, and the artwork continues to grow organically. It's open to all and free to participate. Our work will be displayed at Roca London Gallery next month, as a part of the exhibition "100 Women Architects" curated by the team behind the award-winning book 100 Women: Architects in Practice by Dr. Harriet Harriss, Naomi House, Monika Parrinder, and Tom Ravenscroft, alongside projects by leading architects-- who happen to be women-- from all over the world. The exhibition runs from 18 October 2024 to 28 March 2025, catch it if you're in London!
