    In 2024, the number of demat accounts rose by 4.6 crore, with an average addition of 38 lakh accounts per month. New demat additions saw a 33% rise from the previous year, taking the total tally to 18.53 crore. 📈 Since Covid-19, demat accounts in India have surged, driven by simplified account opening, widespread smartphone adoption, and favourable market returns. In the last five years, they have quadrupled from 3.93 crore in 2019. 🤯

Solar power has seen the fastest growth, now crossing 100 GW of installed capacity, while wind energy continues to expand.
