Manmohan Singh, India's 13th Prime Minister, a visionary economist, a humble leader and a pivotal figure in the nation’s economic transformation, passed away on December 26, 2024, at the age of 92. He died in New Delhi due to age-related health issues.   Born on September 26, 1932 in Gah, Punjab. Sing’s early life was marked by academic excellence. He has completed his Master’s from University of Cambridge and D.Phil. in economics from University of Oxford. His scholarly pursuits laid a strong foundation in shaping India’s economic policies. His journey reminds us of the power of education, perseverance and the determination to serve the  good deeds   Dr. Singh was instrumental in shaping India’s economic policies even before entering politics. He has served the India as the Economist, Governor of Reserve Bank Of India, Deputy Chairman of the Planning Commission, Finance Minister and the Prime Minister of India who changed the India’s future.   True words said by our Honorable Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi “Dr. Singh was a thinker, a reformer, and a statesman who transformed India’s trajectory”   He has introduced many great reforms such as LPG, attracted many FDI’s, strengthened the financial sector of India. His policies reflected inclusive growth, touching not just urban areas but also rural India. He has done many things such as he launched MGNREGA, NRHM, boosted agricultural credit and rural infrastructure, strengthened labor laws and what not to help in the growth of rural India   Corporate India owes much to Dr. Sigh’s policies, which laid the foundation for the emergence of multinational Indian firms Companies like Tata, Infosys and Reliance capitalised on Singh’s reforms to expand globally, turning India into an exporter of goods, services and talent. The software and IT sectors emerged as global leaders during this era, while pharmaceuticals, automobiles and financial services also saw rapid growth and export orientation toward developed markets. Singh’s policy focus on infrastructure, governance reforms and financial sector liberalisation created an environment conducive to innovation and investment.    AS THE TEAM OF ENTREPRENURESHIP CELL (School of Economics) coveys a heartfelt condolences and sorrow.    This platform is dedicated to foster the values of Dr. Manmohan Singh by Innovation and the courage to take bold steps for the greater good.   As we are the dedicated team to promote the new and great ideas we are reminded of his profound words “INDIA’S STRENGTH LIES IN ITS PEOPLE.
