Shaping the Future of Frankfurt RheinMain as a leading financial hub!   Yesterday, Frankfurt once again proved why it stands among Europe’s leading financial centers. At the start of this week, 200 representatives of the Chinese community gathered at the historic Kaisersaal to celebrate the Chinese New Year at the New Year's reception by the city of Frankfurt & the Chinese consulate general, marking the beginning of the Year of the Snake. Deputy Mayor Nargess Eskandari-Grünberg & consul general Yiyang Huang welcomed the guests, emphasizing the values of family, community, and hope. What an impressive and vibrant Burns Supper evening, organized by the BCCG Rhein-Main Region on 1 February, traditionally held at the Freimaurerloge “Zur Einigkeit” in Frankfurt. Alongside many others around the world, we celebrated the life and legacy of Scottish poet Robert “Rabbie” Burns with a wonderful 3-course supper, including both vegetarian and regular haggis, bagpipes, singing, dancing, and some exceptional single-malt whiskies! This year’s “To the Immortal Memory of Burns” address was delivered by Dr Pauline Mackay, Head of the Centre for Robert Burns Studies at the University of Glasgow, who is famously working on a book of Burns’ racier works. We were also delighted to welcome two new BCCG members, GIGA FIBER Group and LUCRESTA, who were warmly greeted on-site by BCCG President Michael Schmidt.
